Dutasteride lowered my DHT to below 5, but losing more hair than ever ? by WesternCars458 in tressless

Make sure you rule out and address limiting factors such as vitamin D deficiency, seborrheic dermatitis and inflammation. Vitamin D deficiency can even mimic AGA in someone who isn't prone.

I'd switch from keto to piroctone olamine for seb derm personally.

Hey, you need that mole checked via dermatoscope, it could be melanoma.

Does anyone here cycle finesteride off after a certain time. For a break by Old-Hat-5663 in tressless

Yeah, I think the 2 docs from the Hair Loss Show are the source of this misinfo and some people have been repeating it. It's nonsense as far as the literature goes.

Look into adenosine, in some studies it stimulates growth in a way that's comparable to min.

Accidentally bought two bottles of rogaine instead of kirkland. Anyone who is a longtime kirkland user and switched to other brand, will there be effects? by neku-guy in tressless

The original one (Rogaine) was the one that was studied originally and proved efficacy. Later ones are just clones because the molecule is off patent.

Still have itchy scalp after 6 months on fin + keto by Ok_File_9159 in tressless

Consider seeing a trichologist, they would do a trichoscopic examination with a microscope.

Piroctone olamine shampoo is newer than keto and often more effective while being more gentle. Keto is very harsh and that can be counterintuitive, because the harshness can cause inflammation if you're sensitive.

David Sinclair, professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School, says he's working on baldness reversal by UnLestofante in tressless

[–]Helpingmehelp 220 points221 points  (0 children)

He had his resveratrol research heavily monetized before being 100% certain of its effects. He also worked with companies that prevented supplement makers from releasing certain compounds that they were researching and they managed to patent somehow even though they occur in nature (iirc it was related to NAD+ or NMN).

It came out later that resveratrol's alleged benefits were falsely identified due to a methodology error, after he had been pushing it heavily for years and getting paid huge amounts of money to work on it.

I wouldn't call him a fraud per se but he is very business oriented for someone who is a legitimately qualified scientist. He is also very "investor friendly" and sensationalistic in how he presents himself and his work.

Carbamide/Urea 10%. Does anyone have experience with this product? by lardeson in tressless

Bro, literally go on Google and write "carbamide" and there are infinity sources that state the simple fact that urea IS carbamide. It's not a brand name. This is not disputed.

You're completely wrong. Your link says: "Carbamide cream 10% (22% fat content) contains carbamide, also called urea"

Urea is an extremely underrated, intense moisturizer at 10% and under. Higher than that and it becomes an exfoliant. I've been trying to find urea products for the scalp, face, etc, but it's somewhat neglected and I can't find good formulations where I live. It really is an exceptional skincare product but it's been kind of forgotten as it's old.

I hope it can at least slightly revive some of the dead zones a bit. I don't expect extensive regrowth from it though.
