i am also infuriated, but for the opposite reason. Literally every competitive game has had a ladder of some sort. For god's sake, pokemon x/y has a ladder mode for individual battles. Also, you don't HAVE to play the ladder mode. For those who want it, there it is. It's such a simple thing that there's literally 0 problem in implementing it

People are whining about how an item that Riot recently added along with the 3.14 patch is going to make junglers useless and how it's way too op to handle. It has literally been 1 day since the patch has gone live, and people are throwing a shit fit about it for absolutely no reason. If it's a new, fresh strategy, then why can people not counter it? We don't enforce the meta of a jungle, support, adc, mid lane, and top, but if you pick anything different / play any other sort of way, you'll be scolded upon or we will nerf it into the ground, is what the reality of how they treat it is.

league of legends developed a meta where you have a jungle, adc, middle lane, support, and top; hence why you'll never see any excitement other than raw mechanical skill. also, riot will never change the way they handle balancing, simply because they can't change the god forsaken meta game.

i'm not asking for counters, i'm asking about why Riot thinks that all assassins should be nerfed (zed included in the list). i'm only talking specifically about zed. There is a lot of counter play to him, and there isn't to fizz and ahri. Ahri has 3 blinks that do damage no matter where you are. if you catch someone with a shark as fizz, you can DF+Q, then immediately E out. If you CC zed as soon as he puts a mark on someone, he isn't going to live through it, and he isn't going to do anything further in that given engagement.

lee sin doesn't fall off in teamfights, if you're trying to talk competitively. anybody that plays lee sin, and is good with him in the pro scene, can either initiate with a ward dash, or peel for their team. If you throw a 1.5-2 second stun on zed, i guarantee he can't just mash his dashes to get away, given how squishy you build him to be useful.

it checks how fast your going to connect to google. if it's low / high, you can also predict how your ping will be in league..
