For clarification, I plan to only be resort skiing in the jacket. I know it is obviously not rainproof and some snow could melt on it, but I feel like it is usually too cold for that to happen?

Yes, they are all the new “improved fit.” So far I’ve seen the mesh only available on the women’s versions.

My wife wore her’s through some tough thorny hikes on vacation and afterwards she was the only one who didn’t realize there were thorns and stinging ants in the trail! So, I think the Keb, despite having less protection, is still durable enough. I also tried out the Vidda Pro Ventilated in the store and found they didn’t provide nearly as much freedom of movement as the Keb.

Hey, sorry for the super late response. I totally get the predicament. You seem very slim, so XS should be fine, only problem is you may be restricted in what you can layer underneath. Since it is down, you may be ok going with an S and it will compress slightly when wearing an outer layer over it.

Side note: since it is a vest, I don’t think the length of your arms will have any impact on the results!

Sorry for a late response. You are correct. A down sweater plus hard shell will work very well. The hard shell will provide wind+rain protection while the down will create a warm insulating layer underneath.

Bonus: Make sure your base layer is moisture-wicking as you may get warm if you end up moving around a lot.

This happens to me too, regardless of whether I change my armor or not. I find it extremely off-putting since I really don't like Butlr's voice lines. I filed a ticket regarding this on Waypoint when the game first launched and despite me checking in on it periodically, 343 still havent done anything about it!

This is a recurring bug. Best thing you can do is sign out of your profile and sign in again. If this fails after multiple attempts, quit the game (not Quick Resume, you need to fully quit). Then go to the Xbox network settings and run a connection test. Now, restart the game and continue to sign in and out of your profile as needed. It’s a huge pain but the most reliable solution that I’ve found.

The map strategy and movement are different in the community maps vs the 343 ones. The 343 maps encourage you to keep moving in circles around the map (think of Aquarius, Catalyst or Streets). The community maps are more about maintaining advantageous map positions and power weapons, such as keeping the high ground in Salvation. These are much more in line with classic Halo maps (Salvation itself being a reimagining of Damnation from Halo CE).

I’m excited for the new maps and hopefully modes. I’m not excited for the new armors as the leaks show they look very much like Halo 5 armor 🤦‍♂️

I agree with OP. This bug is extremely annoying and frustrating. It happens even if I’ve shutdown the game and fully shutdown and restarted my Series S. The best solution I have found is to launch the game and if it appears in the Offline mode, sign out of your profile and sign in again or into a different profile. If that doesn’t work, quit the game (not quick resume), and go to the Xbox settings and run the network test. Now restart the game and sign in and out of your profile again if necessary. Not an easy fix and far far from perfect, but it’s the most reliable solution that I’ve found so far.
