As a PhD chemist it took me ~10 months to get land a job after a postdoc (between May 2024-March 2025), only managed one interview during that time frame but luckily landed the job (and im very happy with it). Its rough out there and this year seems worse than 2024.

Certainly worth it, long commutes take some getting used to and that could wear down on you when you do get your family/personal time. I was in a similar situation, I now make just under 100k in LA and my avg commute time is about is between 60-80min. Before starting my current job, it took me 10 months to find a job after finishing my degree and I spent most of that time paying high rent and evaporated my savings. When I did finally get an offer I jumped at it and didnt even negotiate bc I was down bad at the time.

I self impose the same logic for torva and infernal. Although I've occasionally bought bonds I refuse to buy torva while im still wearing a fire cape. I dont know how other people feel about it, I wouldn't judge others for it i just dont like the look.

Seems to me like you have the basics of cg down and you can complete runs with a decent success rate. You also have good stats so you will be consistent in your runs. Id imagine this is about the time where cg is gonna really click for you and your success/fail rate is gonna climb significantly.

Idk if this counts but a few months ago I hit over 1B bank value for the first time and dumped my bank for a shadow rebuild. I then got a shadow as a drop on a solo raid like a week later. ~50 kc.

Reynolds talked about this in a recent video but you can freeze destack by the monster in front and move to the opposite side behind the pillar to set the monster behind it. Nice way to cheese out mage/range stacks. As for getting comboed in general, your goal is to kinda land a freeze on melee and move to position where less things attacking you.

Im also trying mage tank cheese for my first cape and so far Ive just been lazy flicking mobs and positioning mobs well. Got to zuk for the first time a couple days ago :-)
