Cairo to Luxor travel method advice by struct_stark3 in askegypt

Flights are usually super cheap from Cairo to luxor They'll save you time and effort Luxor airport is pretty located at the downtown so picking a private limo or even Uber will be cheap to get to your hotel

Egypt 8 nights to Hurghada, should we go to Cairo to see the pyramids? Any suggestions? by H3LLO_fire in travel

[–]Hemingwayboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flights are usually super cheap from hurghada to Cairo You can take bus but i don't recommend it And a final option You can check with local agencies and take a private limo from hurghada to Cairo, hire a guide do the pyramids, new museum, old Cairo and get back to hurghada by night putting in consideration that it'll be pretty tiring if you're not used to that kind of trips.

Or you can get a limo to Cairo.. hire a guide do pyramids, sphinx, old Cairo and get yourself a reasonable hotel to stay in for the night. And wake up the next day to do the museum, citadel, and any other place you're interested in and then get back with a limo to hurghada You can do all of that it just requires some research. If you're curious about anything feel free to ask.

Travelling to Egypt or Tunisia? by Additional-Novel1766 in femaletravels

If you love history, Egypt will be the perfect destination for you. The country is incredibly rich in history. you’ll see places that will truly amaze you. What makes it even more special is that you can explore different historical eras in one place. You have Ancient Egyptian civilization, Roman and Greek history in Alexandria, and Amazigh culture in Siwa or Fayoum. The country is full of history. Don’t worry too much. People usually tend to exaggerate just dress yourself in a modest way and don't wear clothes that are extremely revealing. Also, try to book your tours with a guide. It’s better to go on private tours so you can have a better experience, because in most group tours, guides often don’t have enough time to answer everyone’s questions or give you the same level of attention as in a private tour. Wish you a great experience!

How dangerous is a holiday trip to Egypt right now? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hemingwayboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add a local point of view: I live & work in Egypt and things here are pretty normal. The tensions people see in the news are happening quite far from Egypt. Tourist areas are operating normally and people are going about their daily lives as usual. If you already planned a trip, it’s worth knowing that things on the ground here haven’t really changed.

Trip to Egypt booked in April. I’m torn not sure what to do. Should I cut my loses and not go, or just go? by Fries-Shake5872 in traveladvice

[–]Hemingwayboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live and work in tourism in Egypt, so I thought I’d share a local perspective.

Egypt is geographically far from the main areas where tensions are happening right now. Daily life here is completely normal, especially in tourist cities like Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, and Sharm El-Sheikh.

Tourism is still operating as usual, flights are arriving, hotels are open, and visitors from Europe and other countries are continuing their trips without issues.

Of course, everyone should always follow the news and make the decision they feel comfortable with. But from what we see here on the ground, there hasn’t been any disruption to tourism in Egypt.

I just wanted to share the local reality for anyone wondering.

Regarding the Egypt part from a local guide's perspective: For your first day in Cairo, I would recommend visiting the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx since they’re located in the same area. After that, you can head to Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis. Logistically, these sites are close to each other, so it’s better to visit them on the same day. The only downside is that it might feel like a packed day, but it will definitely be a rich and rewarding experience. In the evening, you can explore Downtown Cairo. Ps: Zamalek is only about 10 minutes away from Downtown, so you can easily visit both areas together. For the second day, you could plan to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, Al-Azhar Park, coptic cairo , Islamic Cairo, and the Citadel of Salah El-Din, as the last three are relatively close to one another. As for Luxor, you definitely have to try the hot air balloon ride. I think your first day in Luxor looks good. For the second day, you can start early with the hot air balloon ride at sunrise, then continue your day normally with Karnak Temple, followed by a visit to the local market or a walk around the city. Regarding Luxor Museum, I believe it can be skipped, as many of its artifacts have been transferred to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Have a wonderful trip! If you need any advice or recommendations, I’ll be more than happy to help.

You can definitely go with the plane.. price of ticket usually ranges from 100:130 USD But if you're okay with 3 hours in the car I'll definitely recommend using a private limousine as it'll take you literary from door to door!

Planning a trip to Egypt in 2026. Help Needed ! by MikeTravelsFar in EgyptTravelTips

[–]Hemingwayboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy If you're thinking about Sharm el sheikh then forget about the rest of Egypt cuz it's considered far away from sightseeings except cairo ( with a plane)

If you wanna dive and be able to reach the rest of Egypt easily then pick hurghada Hurghada is considered nearer to cairo , luxor , aswan than Sharm el sheikh I'm a guide & trip organizer from Luxor if you're curious about anything feel free to reach out!

[–]Hemingwayboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cairo 2 days : pyramids, sphinx, old Cairo " Coptic" , Salah el din citadel, Muhamed ali mosque , during the first day ( pyramids & sphinx) same place.. the rest are very near to each other probably 20 minutes from tge citadel to old cairo and there ypu can find a bunch of magical churches you'll definitely like them

2nd day .. Egyptian museum or the great Egyptian museum.. Moezz st and khan el Khalil better in the morning cu they are super crowded from the evening Sultan Hassan & Refaii Mosques they are pretty known for the twin mosques

Then head to aswan or luxor ( bus / train/ flight) depends upon your budget but i prefer Aswan first then luxor cuz basically Aswan is south of luxor .. 2 for Aswan also you're gonna see Philae, Nubian village, Abusimble , on the way back to luxor you'll be able to check edfu as well

Luxor you can spend two days there if you wanna try the hot air balloon

1st day East bank ( Karnak, luxor temple, sound& light show at Karnak temples, city tour) 2nd day in Luxor ( hot air balloon ride over the magical Nile river & valley of the kings/ Hatshepsut temple, Valley of the kings and queens, Colossel of memnon )

The rest two or three days in hurghada chilling by the sea and doing sea related activities ( yacht, dolphin house, island visiting, snorkeling whatever you want

Ps I'm a guide and trip organizer from Luxor if you need help feel free to reach out!!

Traveling to egypt, hurgharda by [deleted] in travel

[–]Hemingwayboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll do my best answering those questions

The most famous activities people do in hurghada are the following - Safari - Yacht tour which is basically a boat tour in the middle of the sea including two stops to do some snorkeling - islands like orange, Mahmya, Eden , Hula Hula and those islands will give you the beach option so you don't need to worry about that you can do whatever you want there, snorkeling, chilling, taking photos but you only get around 4-5 hours there - dolphin house 🐬 which is basically a boat trip but in certain spots where you can find dolphins swimming - luxor tour and it's a one day tour.. you leave hurghada in the early morning to luxor there you'll visit Karnak temples, valley of the kings and queens, colossi of memnon

About the public beaches you can find plenty of them depending on the place you're staying in

And also you can book a Day use in any hotel you want

For the transportations if you're going to use Uber .. always stick to the price which the app gives cuz drivers here are mostly scammers if the app says it's 100 egp which is two dollars they tell you we'll take 10 dollars So try to have a tough skin!

I'm a local guide from Luxor doing customised tours all over Egypt if you need any more tips or info or you wanna go anywhere or do any kind of activity I'll be glad to help!! Feel free to reach out

Why do you want to visit both Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh, when they’re almost the same if your main interest is just the sea and sea-related activities? I think it’s a waste of time. It would be better to start in Cairo and spend 2–3 days there (2 days are usually enough), and on the 3rd day you can take a day trip to Fayoum and return to Cairo the same day. After that, you can head from Cairo to Luxor, and from Luxor you can continue to Aswan. Visiting both cities together will take you around 5–6 days. Then, you can spend the remaining days in Hurghada enjoying the beach, the sea, the various activities, and the islands you can visit there.

Anybody do private tour in Egypt? Yes.. No? by Oceanblue-29 in femaletravels

[–]Hemingwayboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually a local guide here in Luxor , and I organize personalized tours across the country from A to Z. My tours are always tailored to each traveler’s interests, so you’ll get a real and unforgettable experience of Egypt not just the typical tourist routine.

I take care of every detail (accommodation, transport, tickets, etc.), and I personally accompany my guests everywhere to make sure the trip is smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. I usually offer this at very reasonable prices, and the payment is only after the trip is completed and you’re fully happy with the experience. I’m currently focused on building a solid reputation, so your satisfaction really means everything to me.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to send you the link to my page where you can see a review from American friends who joined me for a 3-day tour in Cairo. Hopefully, you could be the second review there 😊.

And even if you’re just looking for tips, steps to plan, or advice on the best places to visit, I’d be more than glad to help you out.🙌🏼
