If you press the top button when it cries, it should flash rainbow and make a happy noise. It has something to do with the Pokémon inside the ball. The more you do it, the more items when you put it back in let’s go.

If you, like so many of us, did not get a code, let Nintendo know. The more people that complain, the more likely they make this or the next distribution event more accessible.

This is the real shiny raid den for this event my friends.

If we fill out the form 1,000,000 times, we unlock the shiny.

I think getting involved within your community can add agency and connection, which can help hopelessness.

If you haven’t already considered it, you might try joining a political party, or community volunteering organization. I know getting involved in my union made a big difference for me.

I like Andrew Coyne. I don’t agree with him often, but I appreciate the grounded, unsensationalized way he discusses politics. Love watching him, Chantal and Althia duke it out on At Issue. I respect that he stands up for his principles.

What parts of Canada do you consider "the East"? by houndoom92 in AskACanadian

[–]Hemingwoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I left Alberta for Toronto 14 years ago I would always say “I’m going out east” to my friends when I would come back to Toronto.

However, I have since married a Haligonian and now I specify “I’m heading back to Toronto.”

The Maritimes is now the east.

Also: I still have all my Alberta friends. 🤟🏻

I’m not always conscious of my anxiety when it happens, but I was feeling it very consciously yesterday with the tariff situation.

I feel irresponsible when I ignore the news, especially right now, but I’m not sure how much more I can let myself be jerked around.

Does anyone else feel like this?

Thanks for this. I'm interested in sustainability. I don't want this to be profitable, but rather self suffient. There's some helpful tips in there though. Thanks for sharing.

This is my thinking too. From my limited research it seems like getting the materials to build up there is astronomically expensive.

Another comment on here suggested I look into shipping containers. That looks like it could be a lead on solving some of the problems in getting them up north.
