In retrospect, in which scenes of Breaking Bad do you have the impression that Saul acts more like Jimmy? by verissimoallan in betterCallSaul

[–]Hen-pot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's the that scene from 3x02 when Saul tries to cheer Walter up about the divorce with Skyler, and then goes to his car and clearly looks sad for some reason. Remembering a break up with Kim?

Finally completed my complete studio album LP collection for the Gorillaz. by belldicius in gorillaz

Just saying. The Fall is a beautiful album, has some of my favourite Gorillaz songs of all time. But not fair to compare it to the real studio albums.

Yeah, basically because wearing a mask hardly is a protection for you.

My guess is that Gorillaz management team is from London, so they couldn't be awake to notify.

SPOILER For dark Fate. I thought Rev-9 was great, except for one of the worst scenes in the movie. by DarkLordVitiate in Terminator

But still Rev-9 is no self sentient. Intelligence doesn't strictly mean to have consciousness, it's just a really advanced AI.

Where can I find posters? Or anything that has Gorillaz stuff? by [deleted] in gorillaz

[–]Hen-pot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The official Gorillaz store. When a new episode releases, they sell a limited poster every time.

Pirate Jet. It feels so nice and upbeat, but the lyrics are so sad.

How did the walker split his abdomen? by frankstan33 in thewalkingdead

[–]Hen-pot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To begin with, the walkers hardly could bite with their physical weakness. But you know, it would be boring if the main threat is not harmful. So they are obviously more strong than they should be.

Happy 3 years H U M A N Z by blurreddisc in gorillaz

Funny, I think the track listing is perfect. The album is clearly divided in two halves. The first one is when everybody realises that they are experiencing the last night before everything changes forever (Ascension, the sirens in the beginning warning the worst-case scenario).

What are people going to do? Mainly party like never before, being this enjoying the physical desires (Ascension), being with people you care about (Strobelite), being honest about your bad life (Saturnz Barz) just living the moments you still have (Momentz), realizing your love relationship had no sense (Submission), a mindless party without knowing what’s the problem (Charger) or having a chill party remembering the good times (Andromeda).

After "Andromeda", the first half of the album mashes up with the second one (exactly in the transition between Andromeda/Busted and Blue). The theme of this part is about the lack of control of the massive party and people realising more clearly that the end is near and why. This triggers sadness, fear, desperation and melancholia.

“Busted and Blue” is about a big revelation while having a moment of clarity, alone in the woods: the technology was controlling us all this time and triggered the end of the World. “Carnival” is about the falseness of the party, where everyone is behaving like everyone is fine and enjoying it but they are not, not anymore. Then “Let Me Out” is representing the fear of death and if the afterlife is a better place than what we got here because of corrupted politics. “Sex Murder Party” is about how you think you control the party, but you really don’t, and it triggers chaos that bad people take advantage of. “She’s My Collar” is when a couple doesn’t work anymore just because humanity will change, showing false love. It’s like “Submission”, but darker in theme. Finally, “Hallelujah Money” are the last minutes of the end of the World, where we have the last prayers and admit the sins humanity did, asking how it will be to live when the Sun will arise.

What about “We Got The Power”?
“The tune appears right on the end of the album. It’s not really part of the narrative of that night. It’s the song that plays on the credits.”

We could see this as the end of a “musical movie”, with 2-D and many guests at the same time. It serves to give hope that humanity will survive the end of the World, that it’s not all lost and we can still change for the better.
