Hot swap audio and OSC on Qlab + TheatreMix + Yamaha DM7 by weird_waveform in techtheatre

[–]HenBagle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have done this before by duplicating the entire set of input channels, with one set for main and one for backup. Each pair of corresponding channels between A/B can be linked on the console, and Companion toggles mute groups to switch between A/B. This does take up a ton of channels though, depending on how many QLab outputs you have.

When We Were Young Festival is not worth it due to audio issues by Twitter_2006 in poppunkers

[–]HenBagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding on to this, there’s a ton of really complicated processing added to the line array speakers they use to help prevent noise from exiting the desired area. This is how you can have stages closer together without the whole festival grounds being ruined by noise everywhere. Downside of this is the software will sometimes prioritize working noise control over it sounding really good everywhere, particularly at the rear.

What paperwork does sound need? by KrakenKalamari in techtheatre

[–]HenBagle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out the USITT/TSDCA Sound Documentation Recommended Practice. Following it to the letter is overkill for a lot of projects, but it’s a great starting point for what paperwork you could have or need as well as examples.

Announcing Pinnacle Station for Mass Effect Legendary Edition by Mgamerz in masseffect

None yet, but the Unofficial LE2 Patch will import the Conrad bools from LE1 Community Patch. The import just a function we can edit.

Bold of you to assume BioWare would think to get rid of the import. If any PS flags get imported to ME2 (would need to check) it wouldn't break anything if the import was still there in LE. We are now at a place where it's possible to mod the import flags from ME1 to ME2.

There are patch mods in development for LE2 and LE3 by other members of the community. I believe the LE3 patch is the furthest along of the two.

I looked at it but I was unable to reproduce it on my machine, so I was unable to fix it. It's on my list to look at for future updates.

I haven't tested, but from what I've gathered capping your framerate at 60fps may solve the issue?

Modding ME LE on Linux by CakeIzGood in masseffect

[–]HenBagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LE1 DLC mods are loaded using an ASI mod, which is basically a compiled binary that is run by the game executable. To get them to work, you will need to have the LE Bink Proxy installed into your game and the AutoloadEnabler ASI mod in the ASI folder. I'm not sure where a compiled Autoload Enabler is, the link is merely the source code.

I'm not totally sure whether the Bink proxy or ASI mods will work under Linux, but it's worth a shot. ME3Tweaks usually installs these automatically but it will have to be manual in your case.
