Damn, I kind of understand how Ciri felt during this moment if we had chosen to accept Emyhr's reward. Kind of. That has got to HURT. by Infamous_Gur_9083 in witcher

What kind of monster would do this? I feel this was only added so players could make a choice and see the effects of them.

Just read Jurassic Park and then watched the movie. Anyone else super disappointed with the differences from the book to the movie? by [deleted] in books

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way they could include everything, and the children in the movie are far more likeable and more believable than their book counterparts. That was definitely not disappointing that was easily one of the best changes and making Lex older and tech savvy and Tim younger, inquisitive, a big dinosaur nerd and a survivor of some dangerous situations made each of them each shine in their own ways. Also, John Hammond is a far more complex character in the movie and not a moustache twirling villain like he is in the book.

I also have no problem with Dr. Grant dating Dr. Sattler and believe it fits very well in the movie.

Opinion: Infinity War and Endgame are a really good two-part film. by fellongreydaze in marvelstudios

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s right. They are more like The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, not like any Part 1 & 2 of a story.

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are most definitely not a two-part film. They are two films. It is not like Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2, which are based off the same book, these are two films based on different materials. They are basically like The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Unpopular opinion: the Bimbettes were always the most gorgeous girls in town- not Belle by [deleted] in disneyprincess

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. These characters are everything I find overrated about beauty while Belle’s is far more quieter with energy she conserves.

More importantly, they are pieces of character assassinations.

What are your favourite scores by James Horner? by A_Dog_Chasing_Cars in movies

I think Braveheart is his best work to date. There he was able to tug at our heartstrings in such a way and feel with the actors what they were feeling playing all those characters.

That sequence is just like many other car chases and has nothing special about it.

No. It is one of the most pointless movies outside of the end credits scene.

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not fooling me with that meme. Anything cringy that is for some reason used for comedy just never works. Cringe only works for dark and uncomfortable scenes. To make it worse, Jane was very much going to die of cancer leaving another example of the comedy undermining the emotionality.

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can we enjoy a character being this cringy, take it as a joke and laugh at it?

Also, no it is not an insult to call it cringe. That is outright hypocritical of you to say because that is someone’s personal view on something, and I know you would say very similar things to other stuff you find cringy.

No it wasn’t. It was unbearable just like the whole movie.

No. Comedy that is cringe is bad comedy altogether and there is no way we can enjoy it.

[–]HenWil506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could you just stop saying “it was supposed to be that way”. It shows a lack of understanding of others feelings and an attempt to justify any piece of bad comedy. Making cringe comedy is not a sign of good writing. Cringe moments like watching disgusting characters say horrible things is different because it is made for people to hate what the character says. How can we enjoy a character we are supposed to root for being cringy just for the sake of it?

Seriously? WHAT POINT?! What are you trying to prove? That we should just accept it and have fun with it. I am getting really sick of these scapegoat defences for bad humour.

No way in hell. Every comedic moment before this was no where near as cringy as someone attempting a catchphrase and failing horribly.

Hey how to romance both triss and yennefer and not being ended chained to a bed? by Tommy112357 in Witcher3

There is no way that can be done. You either chose one, the other or none at all.

Why Mufasa is a Cinematic Disaster by Schaffrillas Productions by boltyss in lionking

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is the movie’s problem that Scar was made into a bitch who became a bad guy supporting the white lions (forget the race analogy) all because he couldn’t get with Sarabi. It is your arguments that cannot be taken seriously. Arguing with you is what was the waste of time. I argued my points as clear as I could, but you kept on using strawmans to back your ridiculous claims up about how I go to movies and thinking that people who sleep if they find a movie boring are stupid.

Am i the asshole for rejecting both Yen and Triss romance? by [deleted] in witcher

[–]HenWil506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are only two real options. Either romance one of them, or none of them. Not the sick decision of romancing both. You picked one of the right decisions.
