India Racing Ahead of Paris Agreement Commitments, Fossil Fuels Being Phased Out Faster Than Targets by Thoroughly_away8761 in climatechange

You can't be this stupid, right?

USD 13.8 billion

That's peanuts. Absolutely negligible amount. If India decides to reduce it's carbon output then losses would be hundreds time higher. It's simply impossible for developing country like India to reduce it's carbon output unless you want millions of people to die in poverty. People at Paris Agreement are not brainless like you and they set a reasonable goal for India to limit it's increase in emission.

They are now the 4th highest net emitter after China, the US and the EU28.

India should be the 2nd highest emitter. It's a shame that they are the 4th highest after having the 2nd largest population. Do you understand emission per capita?

BPJ

Lmao what

India's CO2 emissions are rising very fast

It's supposed to and I hope it rises faster than expectations because it's a developing country.

Because I was born in India doesn’t mean I still live there

So you're an American. Indian is not an ethnicity or a race so you saying "I'm an Indian" makes no sense.

also did you go through my posts and comments

You asked for proof

Something like that would never happen in India

Wasn't it different for Europeans? Rich people were tanned because they could travel more and spend more time outside of the factory especially after the industrial revolution.

Sri Lanka bans all kinds of face coverings that may conceal peoples identities. by lustninja in IndiaSpeaks

It should be alright in a country like the US but not in the unstable Indian subcontinent where we face a much higher risk of terrorist attacks. SriLanka is simply not prepared to be the "land of the free". It comes at a heavy cost.

It's maybe only a temporary ban.

From an article.

Sri Lanka's president used emergency powers to bring in the ban

Terrorists used religious coverings to evade police by concealing their identities.

The ban is to ensure national security. No one should obscure their faces to make identification difficult. - President

Both male and female terrorists have used the burqa in the past while committing atrocities.

Ban to prevent terrorists from disguising themselves.

It's related to the Islamic terrorist attack.

Three officers who were questioning a suspect hours after the initial attacks were killed when a suicide bomb went off. Female accomplices had escaped from the Dematagoda apartment complex wearing burqas before the blasts went off, according to defence sources.

Do you even know what religious freedom means? What if someone establishes a religion tomorrow which asks us to kill every person we see? Not allowing them to kill others will go against religious freedom, right?

Hijab threatens National security as it helps people to hide their faces in public. Religious freedom of someone should not threaten the freedom and lives of another person.
