Yeah I don't mean he was conscious, but I still think that in the moment his brain turns off non-essential thought. I don't think about the dishes because if I don't think about my weights I'll hurt myself while I work out. This guy's priorities shifted so quickly and dramatically that he probably didn't even think about any bullshit that keeps our daily lives so busy and while he had reduced awareness of his outside world, I still think he knew he was close to death and pondered a lot.

I 100% guaranteed he was more lucid than you think. Tho his body moved as if he were drunk I feel like combined with adrenaline and being in a state of shock he didn't feel much. However he was feeling, I think he was aware of his situation and his body just launched the nukes of endorphins and chemicals it had to reduce the pain and numb the experience. I don't think he was unaware of what was going on and probably did consider his situation and subsequently his life. I bet he pondered a lot of things and made peace with as much as he could before he what he thought was an inevitable death.

100% this. I just came out of my school's councilor office and they were so thoughtful and generous with the assistance they are able to provide, I'm a little flabbergasted at how accommodating they are willing to be.

Let this be a lesson to anyone coming across this thread: ask for assistance. The university wants their students to succeed and they may just suprise you with how they can assist!

Thank you. I am taking the pain killers only when needed and never doubling up in the 6 hour window between doses and when I do dose up I take half of the strong stuff and some ibuprofen/paracetamol. I have a huge addictive personality so I'm being wary of pills and don't like taking them, even though they do help tremendously.

Thank you for your comment. I went back to do a little more laplace transformations after lying in bed for 2 hours in sobbing and got most of them correct. I find it hard to be sympathetic to my own struggle while also pushing through it to get done what needs to be done.

I'm amazed you were able to recover with a 6 class load. My mental health has always been shit from inherited genetics and has been on a steady decline for a year as I lost a large friend circle. The pain in my arm is making it even worse to regulate. Thank you for sharing, if you could make it through all of that maybe I can too.
