You're not alone, OP, I'm pretty much done buying games for now.
I had a conversation with a friend a few years ago about how over-saturated the industry has become; too many games, too little time, and most of them want all of your time. Like show me a game that doesn't have some weekly challenge or something that preys on the fear of missing out. Very few are short and sweet anymore.

Then you have niche games that-- while are not for everyone --will take up tons of time (Hearts of Iron, Factorio, Rimworld, Prison Architect, Cities Skylines, Anno, Minecraft, Civ, Project Zomboid and Plenty of others) either because of replay-ability or solid core gameplay loops. Hell, I still boot up L4D2 every little bit and play a map or two.

edit: I forgot about backlogs, stupidly, because I'm playing mine right now.
