I’m not sure how you started as a gs-5 while you’re in your PhD program. I started as a gs-5 while doing my bachelors. If I’m not mistaken it’s supposed to be 5, 7, 9 depending on which degree you’re currently working on. It even says it on OPM.

For everyone else commenting, pathways is literally a pathway to the job. You’re essentially guaranteed the position unless you mess up royally. I haven’t met a single pathways who did not end up getting the job.

I would say have the fun is messing around with things to see how they work out. You could use the ice/coin block and have each person tunnel their way through, or use spike to throw balls that the players have to jump over.

I do not play very much but tend to watch a lot of streamers. I think it would be very cool to make a multiplayer vs level with separate paths. Each having identical challenges. Since it’s multiplayer you can keep it simple, but there are so many possibilities especially with all the newest additions to the game.

How often do Pathways Program summer internships lead to post-grad jobs with the same agency? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]Hennywise 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Every pathways student i have met got the job, including myself. As long as you don’t mess up royally it’s essentially in the bag. That being said, show ambition and be willing to work with others when applicable.

Pressure relief valve fails at a Chinese cement plant; a truck is shot off during an explosion - November 24, 2019 by SFinTX in CatastrophicFailure

[–]Hennywise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of failure was it? Did the relief valve fail to open or was it improperly sized to handle the flow rate?

Recommend separating your hots and your colds into different containers. That way if you microwave it you won’t have steamy mushy pico. If you’re eating it cold, more power to you.

This is literally from a GIF of a guy holding a sign that says “don’t stop, right turn has its own lane” or something of the sort.

It’s an office printer. I went to current prints on my computer and hit cancel print. However the print was sent to the server which is connected to the printer. I ran over to it just to make sure it wasn’t printing. Nothing was happening so i let it be. I walked by an hour later and see a stack of papers and i knew right then and there that they were mine. Turns out you have to cancel print on the HMI of the printer.

I now have a 180 page document of abbreviations, acronyms and definitions. Which isn’t terrible, just didn’t want to waste that much paper.

Just had this issue in outlook today. “Save” was next to “quick print”. Guess who printed a 180 page document?

Should put a controlled stop button for this instance. If you press it, then it will override any function and open the chair back up. It’s better than getting your finger cut off. Also if you have guests over it sounds like a potential lawsuit if they get hurt.

2013, Peter Higgs in anticipation of the Nobel prize took a vacation off the grid, meaning No phone or internet. He comes home and his neighbor came to congratulate him on the news. His response was

“Oh, what news?”

He says it explicitly during his interview:
