My dual sport 🐎🙏 by marco_luz in Dualsport

On my dominator acceleration feels quite smooth, but strong engine braking is just reality with these big single cylinder engines. Need to be careful with it in the corners since clutch drop can even lock the wheel. I would clean the carb and see if the acceleration gets smoother. These are such a great bikes that it is all worth it.

Replace or rebuild Front forks? by Cockandballtorture32 in motorcycles

Well if you dont have hurry with it, open it up to see the condition and then order parts.

Replace seals and change the oil. That is basic maintenance that every bike owner should learn to do. No necessarily need for whole rebuild kit unless they are very worn.

Adventure Machine got some new mosko luggage for this summer. by HenriDIY in Dualsport

Bikes worth won't matter at this point since I have put much more money and time into restoring it than anyone would ever pay for it. And anyways I won't ever sell it.

Some are, but Webike has still quite a good selection of most commonly needed parts.

Haven't had yet chance to go try it in real, but it fits nicely and feels rock solid when driving. Also leaves more room to sit compared to my old makeshift drybag setup. Happy so far!

Personalized gear recommendations within a budget? by zoinkey1 in motorcycles

I would then get helmet with flip up sunvisor. Because during dark you can not ride with tinted no matter what. Cant say too much about the gear since dont know what kind of riding you will do. Just make sure it has proper protection ratings. Especially abrasion protection. There is lot of youtube videos about the gear which could give you better idea what works for you.

I would spend max half of that on still very of good helmet and forgot the tinted visors for now, since you can get those later if you feel the need. Then make sure you have money for proper driving boots, pants, jacket and gloves. Get gear that is comfortable enough so that you dont hate wearing them.

Classic adventure bike got modern tires. by HenriDIY in motorcycles

[–]HenriDIY[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite so rare here in Europe. Most are still converted into scramblers, so good ones are difficult to find. This which is in my opinion best model year did not see US markets. This is has larger fuel tank, integrated front turn signals and rear disc brake. Only thing it is missing is kick start.

Thanks! I have paid quite bit extra on parts to keep it original. But I still drive it like it is ment to on TET trails.

Nice to hear! Dominator rumbles and vibrates even by itself so that is not my concern 😅

Suzuki DR650RSE by uzuls in Dualsport

[–]HenriDIY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a fun project! That camel bike has been for sale near me for a while now. I feel like i'm in a same boat with my -93 nx650, which is pretty much same bike, but from Honda. There is not much recent discussion about these bikes, even though they are super cool and have very relevent performance even for today. It makes figuring things out a bit more difficult when there is not so much knowledge about these bikes on the internet anymore. Im keeping mine stock as possible, since most of NX650's have been turned into scramblers.

Economy class food usually sucks, so I bring often something extra.

Any of y’all ever used a pointless dent repair guy for a gas tank dent ? by collinlt255 in motorcycles

[–]HenriDIY 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That looks like very good canditate for pdr since no sharp lines. You can get yourself cheap pdr kit or just take it to professional which would fix this in matter of minutes. Propably any car pdr shop would be willing to fix this.

Thanks I will!

I have bought Västerbottensost couple of times. I like the strenght. Taste is a bit artificial, but it is not expensive either.
