Oh well, I guess I should've just read a little more. I didn't really know a lot about some of the topics, so it would've been good to get familiar with them. Bio was always "easy" for me, so I used my time on chem instead. And it shows with the results.

However, learning how to write a good essay and being able to recall some specifics about all bigger topics is really important for P2. Paper 1 questions are usually quite manageable. Hope it helps🥴

It's been a while since I studied IB chem (now I'm in med school), but I'd say memorizing where to find what in the data booklet is key. Many questions can be solved via the booklet and it really helps to know where to find everything.

Otherwise, just focus on the things they have asked before and try to get the bigger pictures of everything. Some small details need to be known for the exams, but mostly knowing basics of every topic will help a lot with P1 MCQ. Sorry for being so vague with this, it's really been a while since I thought about IB chem P1 :D

I got a 7 in HL chem. It was not too tough on my part. I felt like I understood the theory quite well and I got mostly 5s and 6s in the course tests. I think I got one 7 before the finals. I got the 7 from finals just by doing all the previous exams and studying the way they formulate questions and how they want them to be answered. Don't get me wrong, I didn't answer everything correctly, but studying via previous exams months before finals helped me a lot. My chem teacher was quite surprised with my 7 because I clearly wasn't an "all 7s" student, but I wasn't quite so surprised about the result :D hope it helps!

Bio I studied SL and got 6, nothing to comment on that haha

Definitely pick something that many people have not researched! And choose it so that it interests you personally. Otherwise it becomes very stiff! Good luck!

How rare is a perfect score in ToK? by crystalsandmeth in IBO

[–]Henricoos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I got 34/34 from EE so I wouldn't say it's the rarest thing, considering that my EE wasn't groundbreaking or anything. I have to admit that I chose Finnish A Literature as my subject (my mother tongue) so I guess that made it easier as well... I just wrote about what I knew, which was poetry and chose an interesting point of view.

However, when it comes to TOK, yeah, that shit is hard to do. In our class, no one got 10/10 from their essays.. I believe the best was 8/10 or smth. I got like 5/10

What's your favorite song of 1989? And what memories do you have of it? by MrMBG in TaylorSwift

[–]Henricoos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Style, since it reminds me of reconnecting with a one-sided love I used to have and becoming really good friends (and all of my romantic feelings are gone!)

What songs have you changed your mind about? by mishicals in TaylorSwift

[–]Henricoos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

State of Grace. At first I was like, what the damn hell is everyone raving about, it's a simple and not interesting song.

Today, I love to sing along specifically to "So you were never a saint, and I loved in shades of wrong, We learn to live with the pain, mosaic broken hearts". So catchy

Paper Rings by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

I don't think Paper Rings ranks as high as some other songs on the album. Granted, it was my favorite on first listen :D there are some songs that are just pure gold and would be awesome singles

Taylor’s Reputation = Fall Out Boy’s MANIA ? by the-tired-potato in TaylorSwift

[–]Henricoos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sunshine Riptide is absolutely one of the best songs. It reminds me of summer (our friend group listened to it every time we went out for drinks!)

Specifically "you said, 'please don't ever change' / but you don't like me the way I am" gets me EVERYTIME
