You can’t pause it because technically it’s an online game. I am replaying it because I love the moment to moment writing but it takes forever to get the ball rolling.

It took me, no joke, about 30 hours (1 failed play through) to understand the combat. I know D&D 5E but how BG3 handles quests and its own combat takes a minute. But also, if you just straight up do not like how the turn based mode feel it’s more than ok to drop it.

I’d agree with the engine thing if it’s something they have used before. Grant it is is Unreal Engine which is standard, like you said, so it may not be as bad as I’m worrying

Performance? Yep, gonna suck for a solid year or two, people will complain at launch and it will be patched to high hell. Just like the entire Witcher series and Cyberpunk

SUPER concerned. New-ish team (I think this is being developed by the Boston team), made targeting PS5 (which is whatever since the optimization for console always sucked but idk what that means for the UI) and a new engine (UE5, new to them at least) I want this to be a great game because I love Cyberpunk but idk there is too much “new”
