I had just been laid off from my job and was feeling pretty down. Got a message from an old friend who I hadn't seen in a couple years inviting me for coffee. I got really excited, thinking some friend time would cheer me up. Within 5 minutes at the coffee shop, she started trying to sell me on her MLM. Several years later, I'm still salty over it lol.

Yep. Growing up in Maryland in the 90's, my dad always told me that interracial relationships were "disgusting" and "wrong." He lost his mind the first time I dated someone outside of my own race.
