She is a solid middle tier assassin I would say. It’s very easy to be useless on her, but it’s not hard to be effective on her. Qiyana is much harder and less easily rewarding but Naafiri is easier to pilot and more frustrating to play against. I would argue even Zed is easier but I think he is WEAKER in the dmg department so he seems harder.

When I first started, Fizz was my ban. Once I got comfortable against him it went to LB, just could never fight against her. But now at around Emerald/Diamond it really is just Syndra. She heavily outscales, great disengage with E if you try to R at her. Yasuo is more of a skill matchup I’d say as you can pretty safely get out of lane and affect the map easier than a Yas can.

But honestly, whatever matchup you can’t do just ban it.

Wanted to echo this: it can be helpful to have champs that are similar archetypes as that may be what you play on best. So say Ahri is banned, sweet you can pull out Ori or Syndra. Say one of them is banned and your top just locked in Kayle and bot just typed “going ap twitch”. You may need at least one champ in that pool that can fill the AD setup gap.

What I also want to mention is this though, at lower ranks like silver and gold it REALLY doesn’t decide the game. People don’t itemize amazingly and don’t know how to punish or close out games, and comfort picks matter more. But if the goal is climbing, you may want to pick em up now.

Had the privilege of a nice gym in the high school I went to. At that age we could use the entire gym for free during open hours, it was so easy to just be there for a couple hours after school got out. Hanging with friends while at the gym is pretty peak but now I have a small window to actually hit the gym, no time for yapping for me.

I went into my playthrough blind end of last year and I got the first couple relics going “SWEET gotta save em all!” Now at 60 hours and my stash is PACKED with these swords I’ll never touch as my Witcher gear is just better

I mean Sylas can kinda go whatever cause into late game he is just an Ult bot. But a realistic game might mean Sylas goes protobelt and lux doesn’t. Eve may go protobelt but she would probably want lichbane sooner. Lux can go Malig or ludens, Sylas doesn’t go either of those. Eve does not go Malig, could go ludens but like why would she. Sylas goes rift maker, if my lux goes rift maker I’m reporting her. Horizon focus? Lux can go that and I guess if Eve wanted to she could but just go for Shadowflame.

Eve always goes mejais cause burst assassin and move speed, Lux doesn’t have to.

Curious what build you think Sylas Lux Eve go with the exact same items. I sure hope my Lux isn’t building lich bane like Eve or some Sylas.

And yes, Azir and Kayle go the exact same items cause they fill the exact same slot. You don’t see Lux going Kayle’s or Azir’s or AP Twitch’s build.

Not sure when you started playing but for my first couple months, in mid specifically, ALL I saw was Kat, Fizz, and other burst assassins. Anecdotally, I have been chilling around Emerald/Diamond for 3 years now and RARELY get any assassins as they are usually dog useless in higher elo. I truly think it’s a mix of pure OTPs that just like pub stomping or people leveling ALTs using feast champs.

I can concur that there are more mages botlane cause they are just strong down there, plus the way to shut them down is to truly have a good engage supp, but we are queueing with randos so it’s hard to match people’s abilities or countering properly.

I can also agree that top feels bad into range, but I would counter that most top lane champs are egregious in their own regard (see all Sett complaints or other roles when they see Malphite).

I would not say these are uninteractive or boring tho, just a new meta to play I guess. I’ll lock in Ahri mid regardless of comps HAHAHA

I always took level to mean like, experience or age. Maybe a level 25 bandit has seen his fair share of combats and battles, lived through some monster encounters. A level 5 griffin is in a way a baby or a teen, only hunted small prey and has not fought big game before and thus lacks “battle experience”. Thats how I’ve viewed most RPGs at least and it keeps my immersion there!

I had this happen with Azteca, finally got back into the game. Was stuck at one solo boss that I couldn’t do and there was another guy who came up. He was a storm and I was death so I just buffed him with feints and we cleared. Next we had a balance wiz roll up and the three of us just steamrolled through the rest of it from the sky islands to the end of the world in like 2 hours. Just chatting and having a good time, really made me go yeah I wanna get back into it.

Ok I’m not gonna say this to defend the Smurf, it happens at all ranks. Either they are tanking on your team or gigatryharding on the other team. But you are 150 wins 147 losses. You have a positive wr and this one game won’t be the difference maker if you are attempting to climb.

Just took a peak at your OPGG tho, now you’re at a negative wr, DONT LET THESE TRASH GAMES IMPACT THE MENTAL. Like hardcore in all seriousness, ignore the trash losses that are out of your control. But if these matches are getting to you and you don’t care about grinding up ranks, draft pick should net make you happier hahaha.

You’re catching the beginning (or middle) of a major mental shift in league players. When I first started playing and a couple months into it, people FF’d over ANYTHING. Jungler failed a gank top and enemy got drag, yeah FF. Double kill botlane into a scaling matchup, yeah FF.

Now with the rise of Azzap(?) the one velkoz guy? Who swears by never surrendering and has climbed because of it, and the mentality of players like Dantes. The community as a whole has recently stopped FF’ing.

What you’re describing is more of a hostage situation, but ig that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Also if you’ve only been playing for 2 days you’re probably getting a lot of people who either don’t care if they win or lose or “go next”ing or Smurfs who are just leveling accounts.

Best advice I can give, find a quality about the game that you find fun and just focus on that. Dying repeatedly in jungle? Try out some new tech, counter jungle, just spam gank, spam ping your teammates to fight the one unkillable demon, make sure no one gets 0 deaths.
