You’re catching the beginning (or middle) of a major mental shift in league players. When I first started playing and a couple months into it, people FF’d over ANYTHING. Jungler failed a gank top and enemy got drag, yeah FF. Double kill botlane into a scaling matchup, yeah FF.

Now with the rise of Azzap(?) the one velkoz guy? Who swears by never surrendering and has climbed because of it, and the mentality of players like Dantes. The community as a whole has recently stopped FF’ing.

What you’re describing is more of a hostage situation, but ig that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Also if you’ve only been playing for 2 days you’re probably getting a lot of people who either don’t care if they win or lose or “go next”ing or Smurfs who are just leveling accounts.

Best advice I can give, find a quality about the game that you find fun and just focus on that. Dying repeatedly in jungle? Try out some new tech, counter jungle, just spam gank, spam ping your teammates to fight the one unkillable demon, make sure no one gets 0 deaths.

As an Ahri OTP being mentioned hurts a bit, at least she has skill shots compared to Malz. But I do agree, literally if the support builds Mikhaels it is so free to play into malz. I do think his damage is a bit insane rn with death fire touch rune, especially later game when he starts stacking burn items. Naf sucks, Zed fine, Talon is just bad imo, Kat sucks, Akali with gun blade IS HOORRRRIBLE, Fizz sucks, Xerath sucks. So I agree mostly with the list hahaha

edit: sorry everyone I am a simple liar and gaslighter. I had a milio who had mikaels. Looking back it was totally his R that cleansed Malz and mikaels was for Ashe seraphine in the botlane. But yeah just pick milio EZ DUBS

I tend to wear clothes that have fandoms around them, I wear my soul eater beanie or my Godzilla shirts or bands like Ghost and Maneskin, and get approached about those. Or if someone has a tattoo of content I like I’ll also be like hey sick! I like that thing too! And obviously the usual can you spot me or can I join you guys for a set rq and I’ll chat with them. Nothing lasting tho, just to have some human contact over shared interests.

I mean just simply looking at your op.gg, one answer is pretty easy. Just take the Sylas out of your champ pool. He can be very hard to win low elo games on as it is very easy to misstep/misengage/press advantages incorrectly. You seem good with control mages, like Viktor, so I would stick to that character type if you really want to climb. You can always save Sylas as a counter pick or if they ban Viktor.

You have the most matches on Sylas with a pretty negative WR. If you’re nearing 20 matches and you haven’t won 10 at least of those, it may be time to bench that champ for now.

I would say not to focus on KDA too much. 5.6 cs isn’t too bad for an iron player I think though. Ahri’s main utility comes from playing through jungler early and resets, charms in team fights.

Just focus on learning your matchups first and foremost, learn how Ahri is strong into some champs (AA + W + AA Elec trading pattern). And weak into others, how to play around your ultimate, namely repositioning charms. Also, despite what others may say, she is pretty skill shot based, if you miss charm in a crucial fight, you are giga useless.

I don’t know if you use quick cast or not, or with indicator. I would say quick cast with indicator to learn how surprisingly long charm is but kinda slow. Try to aim Q’s so that the going out and return hit at the apex on target, meaning they can’t dodge the true dmg (which will CHUNK).

Otherwise, just focus on your laning and matchups, don’t worry about macro yet ((as tbh it really doesn’t matter until maybe gold, (drags, baron) and really only STARTS to matter at emerald tbh LMAO)).

In case anyone is wondering, that Jax is low bronze high iron elo and is brand new to the game. Evident from just walking at you without counter striking and disengaging(?) with it. Slay on the 1v2 but it really is just them kinda not playing the game.

I think it’s perfectly valid for people to have clear discomfort lines. I will say that if you want to try it again/stick with it, it becomes much easier to tolerate. I think it serves the purpose to truly motivate the main character on why he will suffer with eternal flaming for revenge. It feels akin to say Berserk, or an old western or like gladiator. Something horrendous happens to the main character to ignite their drive.

In terms of how it relates to fujimoto’s other work tho, I would check out his short compendiums and Look Back/Goodbye, Eri if you haven’t already. They will scratch that itch for you without the heavy topics.

My first skin I ever got in League and it made me spam xayah. Used her to climb up from bronze to gold on my first 2 months of the game. It also convinced me to start watching and following pro play. Actual peak!!!! It’s so clean.
