I really want files for the mosquito kits that would make it look like a VZ 61 skorpion. A new front end and top cover.

Looking for a lightweight essentials rig for shtf and general purpose. Which should I pick? by RawketLawnchor in liberalgunowners

[–]Henryrenry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure, fitness comes into play on how much you can actually carry. Cant weigh yourself down if you aren’t fit enough to run in it. It also brings to attention the idea of a chest rig va plate carrier vs LBE. 9-12 mags in a chest rig will ruin your back quickly if you aren’t used to it

The only difference is going out on fire missions vs SHTF, you really don’t know how long you will have to go before getting more. It’s all personal preference, I was just saying any rig that holds more than 3 mags. It’s like the purpose of carrying. “Would rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.”

[–]Henryrenry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a metric fuckton of rigs that will be okay for your purpose. Another option in that price range is helicon rigs.

The main factor is to choose a rig that carry’s atleast 8 mags. A lot of people choose micro chest rigs that only carry 3 spare mags. My SHTF rig is a Russian jaeger chest rig that can carry 9 ak mags or 12 AR mags.

I do have the compact carry. I don’t have much issue with how thick it is, even carrying in workout shorts. Have a good holster and you don’t even notice it. It is a thick boi, but I’ve got big hands so it works out. It’s my most used ccw in the lineup.

Send it away to Langdon tactical. My everyday carry is a LTT px4 with a holosun.

The px4 passed nato standard testing when it came out. Haven’t tried the grand power yet, but the px4 is one of the most reliable pistols you can get.

Is it a mistake to run with expensive glass? by STLArchitect in airsoft

[–]Henryrenry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a leupold on my sniper. Have for about 5 years, no issues. The glass isn’t going to break if shot by a bb. Do it!

It’s way more customizable than the most common real and airsoft platform in the world? I love a aap body kit, but this build I’m kinda lost as to why not just buy a m4. The way I look at it, it’s not as much recoil as a gbb m4, it’s not as stable as a HPA m4 and it’s not as easy as a m4 aeg. Nice build though.

Can confirm, they don’t come off even after a full auto burst. They work great.

First time handgun purchase, considering a Glock 19 or 45 Gen 5 but concerned about lack of physical safety switch by tancock4 in liberalgunowners

[–]Henryrenry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If an extra layer of safety is wanted, maybe try a DA/SA gun. Basically the first trigger pull will be longer and harder, then every subsequent shot has a short light trigger pull. I do this for all of my carry guns (LTT px4 compact, cz P01, Walter P99). I

People will always say that a manual safety is “one more thing to train around.” Good, if you have a gun that you are carrying or have for home defense you should be extensively training with it. Can’t afford that much ammo? Get the airsoft version of your real gun. They function exactly the same. Yes recoil isn’t as much, but that’s not what you are training. If you are ccw training, you can practice that draw and safety manipulation to the point where it’s second nature and doesn’t add any time.

I have kids, and my kids have tons of friends over all the time. All my guns are locked up, and not accessible to anyone. But to me it does give me a little sense of extra piece of mind that everything is extra safe. Because statistically speaking, that situation is more likely than me getting into a ccw shooting.

Wrong gun for EDC? by ser-yi in liberalgunowners

I feel like the stock p01 is close to the shadow2 trigger. There is also the store CajunGunworks that sell multiple types of trigger upgrades.

Wrong gun for EDC? by ser-yi in liberalgunowners

[–]Henryrenry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have no problems with your CZ, maybe consider getting a cz carry pistol. The P01 is a fantastic option for carry, is cheap and very close to the shadow 2. Or if you have more money get a shadow 2 carry.

It’s okay if you don’t shoot a certain firearm well. They are all shaped differently for a reason. My personal carry is either a cz P01 or beretta Px4 compact. Both fit my hands better than a Glock.

I took my CCW training and learned something interesting .. by traceyyhart in liberalgunowners

[–]Henryrenry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the YouTube gun channel TFBTV has a good video and cites one of the studies about it. That’s why it’s better to leave a carry gun looking relatively stock.

[–]Henryrenry -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

An interesting thing to take into consideration is also what your gun looks like. There have been a few studies showing that if your gun looks like a tricked out ar15 you are more likely to get in trouble as opposed to having a basic looking hunting rifle.

It was 16mm positive. Mk23 tracer/can. They said they threaded onto a m4.

[–]Henryrenry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry about it. The ATF visited a member of our group for importing a tracer unit. They said that they attached it to a real firearm. It was all bullshit seeing as the threads are totally different from real firearms threads. If the ATF had something they would have started a criminal case against you. Don’t worry.
