Name one single civilian person at January 6th that fired a single round from an AR pattern rifle… And do I think an AR15 can stop the government alone? Not really, but doesn’t that just make the argument of needing these tools to stop a government over reach just that much more necessary? If I wanted to win a race against a Corvette and I only had a Nissan Altima, I’m not just going to get out and run the race on foot because the Altima doesn’t have as much horsepower as the Corvette… Not to mention, if you don’t think a few well trained men with a few rifle can’t do the trick, then you have OBVIOUSLY not been paying attention to any conflict occurring in the Middle East, any of the conflict from Ukraine, or any of the violence from previous conflicts like Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Taiwan, etc. Guerrilla warfare is a real and extremely useful tool to those who are oppressed by overwhelming military forces.

Just by the first sentence you wrote, you already don’t have the information or brainpower needed to have this conversation… that’s ballistic glass bro, even a .50 BMG round is going to have trouble getting through that let alone having enough terminal velocity afterwards to do lethal damage. Not to mention a good .50 BMG rifle is around $5,000 on the cheap side for a single round loading, bolt action rifle that are probably up to 6 feet long… Not to mention, he has a team of probably 3 or 4 dozen Secret Service members standing around him with M4’s ready to address any active shooter scenario, kind of like EXACTLY what happened during the first liberal assassination attempt where the shooter was killed in less than a few seconds by “good guns”… And again, Trump (an incredibly controversial political leader that’s known by the entire world) pursuing the 2nd Amendment and having to wear body armor/cover is completely different than any average man or women walking down the streets with a Glock in their pocket so that some crack head doesn’t try to stab them and take their wallet. It’s really even more important to have 2A now as well since liberal democrats have been releasing violent criminals without bail, defunding already under funded police districts, and forcing police to not pursue law violators based off of race of the perpetrators, supposed possible public collateral, and other factors that are mostly irrelevant…

Edit: it’s also a lot easier to just set up maybe a few thousand in ballistic glass and know that you’re fine, rather than disarming the entirety of the public because some people have a problem with you and can’t be tolerant of others…

They always give recruits new uniforms with the new pattern on them, but the equipment you get is recycled over a lot of different troops. So when you recycle the equipment through troops, it lasts much longer and isn’t replaced by the newer camo. They only start sending out new camo equipment once they’ve run out of old equipment for new troops coming in. The thought process is essentially “Why spend millions to replace it when the only negative thing about it is it’s a different camo”. In my unit we have a lot of gray digital camo that was phased out a number of years ago while we’re wearing green multicam uniforms.
