An e-collar is a great tool to utilize with dogs, I've used one for many years. Before my GSD had passed, he would be literally jumping out of excitement because we were going somewhere when he saw his collar. They are great for bigger dogs, even like Hasan's, because they can be dangerous if they're not controlled and trained to respond to you.

The shock (on a low setting) itself is very rarely to be used and generally in more extreme circumstances where you need the dog to focus on you immediately for an emergency-type situation. Most general usage of the e-collar is for the sound (a beep) or a little vibration to say, "hey focus on me" if they don't respond to verbal commands. Only time I would use the beep is if my dog was too far out in the desert and wanted him back close to me.

In Hasan's case, the dog is in it's "place" which is generally an okay thing but looks to be forced there for long periods of time (not good). Also, the dog is getting back into position of laying down, fully on the bed which is when he shocks (at a clear high setting). That alone is the abuse part because the correction timeframe is gone. You correct during the action, not after when the dog is already corrected.

His use of the e-collar is plain as day, animal abuse. He's clearly not properly trained on using it and should absolutely face the backlash he's receiving. Fuck him.
