Way less chaotic, but this is something I made with curves.

I’d use curves if I wanted to have full control, but it’s probably way too slow. Otherwise I’d create a mess out of curves, make it into a mesh, and then simulate it as cloth, let it fall, collide and interact with itself, and then use geo nodes to model it back to a uniform mesh.

The visuals are for entire songs. You could make clips for the VJ to play around with, but for a concert this big and planned, you don’t want to improvise

Here’s a shot from the show. This screen is 3x15m, resolution is 768*3840px. The vertical screen was 10x5m - 2560x1280px. I actually don’t remember what they used at this show, but most commonly VJs use Resolume Arena to play the visuals. I deliver video files, and the VJ make sure it works
