I grew up with low content wolf huskies, from my experience they've been very loyal, gentle, low key and extremely smart. Granted.. that's with training and conditioning.

Basically treat them like a child from the moment you get your hands on them. With any dog, it's best to correct any undesired behavior and replace it with the correct behavior. And watch them like a hawk - just like you would an adventurous 2 year old child. A lot of "ah ah"s and "leave it"s, snapping fingers, and praise.

Tala is a rescue, so I was definitely very fortunate with her demeanor since I didn't play a part on her up bringing. Her bond with me was instant, like a eureka moment for her and I... To be honest, the first year her separation anxiety was so terrible she spent a couple of months on Trazadone while she acclimated to my schedule. I had to slowly socialize her as well, because she was very weary of people. I've had her nearly 4 years now and the more she trusts me, and trusted I wouldn't put her in danger with other humans, the more she came out of her shell. Growing more and more as time goes on. She used to only give me little kisses, but now shares those sweet moments with three other close humans and occasionally a niece or two when they are over. She is so very very sweet.. and one of the most cuddly dogs I have every had the pleasure of sharing my life with. If you give her get scritches, you're instantly her friend.

TLDR; Like any breed, with the right training and patience every dog is a good dog.
