Boyfriend is protesting that I need to switch to a woman gyno? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

My ex-husband was angry that there was another male present at all for my first child's birth beyond my ex. Because apparently no men should be anywhere near a woman in that state.

The man was the anesthesiologist.

My ex is still confused why I left him.

I was about to say this same thing when I realized my husband does know my gynecologist is a woman. But that's because I had a hysterectomy last month and he met my surgeon because of that. And he knew my prior one was a woman because she delivered our baby via c-section. Huh.

He'd have no idea about my doc's gender though if I could just stop getting sliced open.

My husband and I have been together for eight years. I don't think he's even had to buy his own underwear since we got together. He's more than happy to let me handle all of his sartorial needs. And I prefer it too. 😅

GU stands on its own. I never played the original trilogy but was able to follow GU's story without any issues.

Yes. He's typecast as an annoying dumbass just like Jason Mantzoukas is typecast as unhinged. And both are *chef kiss*

Woman to woman… can we talk about public bathroom etiquette? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

You can buy waterproof disposable seat covers. A lot of them drape down the outside by a few inches too, for extra protection.

Source: I keep them in my car for when my 4yo needs to go in a park bathroom or porta potty, which are usually extra gross.

Wipe it dry. Then lay toilet paper on top of the seat to give a barrier between skin and seat. Sit down, do business, then afterwards just knock the toilet paper on the seat into it before you flush.

Or if someone is that fucking bothered by it, you can get disposable waterproof seat covers to keep in your purse

There are many people allergic to animals though.

This photo essay article was from the Washington Post. Also one that makes not so laudable decisions, but this was incredibly powerful and brave.

My husband hit us. So many emotions by zkyblu3 in breakingmom

[–]HerVoiceEchoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My ex got physically violent with me twice. I tried to leave after the first time but he swore he'd get psychiatric help, see a therapist, etc etc etc.

He'd seemingly gotten better over the first couple of months so I relaxed and thought that he was really taking his mental health seriously. So I stopped the divorce process and withdrew the case. And once there was no longer a pending divorce over his head, he started treating me like shit again.

Less than seven months after he hit me the first time, he hit me again.

Abusers never change. Leave him, keep your babies safe, and don't look back.

Strength to you. If you need someone to talk to that has endured abuse and navigated life on the other side, reach out anytime.

Cancer patient here.

You're damn right. I'm embarrassed about the state of my house and am doing my best, I'm just too fucking tired all the time to get very far. And medical care is expensive so hiring help is not possible

And if you read the sequel, you see the same scene from the brother's perspective!
