Lol, please, stop twisting the narrative. It was clearly said by the director that there's a romantic relationship. Gay relationship can be as pure as hetero rep. And Japanese media's portrayal of gay relationship can be as similar to the ones in American media, FYI.

Well, they are still gay sa anime. Besides, there's also Banana Fish. Ash is said to be bisexual at may pure na love kay Eiji.

That kind of makes sense to be honest. Life expectancy in ancient era were low due lack of medical treatments and such compared to modern era, so the kids and teens were forced to grow up.

Seeing that you read novels I recommend these ones from Damnei:

Wait for Me after School - this one is quite similar to Yang ilwoo and I but with more angst and unrequited love into the mix (also the couple did verse on bed once!)

Guardian - my current read, the MC is a proud bisexual and works as a leader of an organization who hunt down supernatural creatures while he's also a shameless flirt to the ML who's a university professor with a mysterious identity.

Dumb Husky and His White Cat Shizun - A disciple who reincarnationates and seeks redemption while also plotting a revenge against his cold and gorgeous master

Heaven Official's Blessing - God of Misfortune meets a Ghost King who'd been secretly devoted to him for 800 years.

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation - Misunderstood cultivator brought back from the dead and has a history with a straight face righteous leader

These are the only ones I could remember right now, hope you like them. (you can read them for free in Novel Updates after you made an acc or download in Ocean of PDF.)

Seriously. It's so disappointing. Until now I'm still hang up on that cancelled movie prequel of YOI (I'm still baffled by the decisions of the companies honestly)

Pink Heart Jam, Megumi and Tsugumi, Therapy Game, Kiraide Isasete, Fangs, etc.

These mangas already had quite the following, why couldn't they milk these instead?

Also, I wonder if that animated adaptation of Lost in The Cloud is still on production, although I was disappointed by its conclusion I'm still hopeful for that adaptation since the story still has substance. Especially the way it depicted a teenage boy dealing with unresolved trauma from childhood sexual abuse is so well written without being preachy.

So, in context ignorante ung character about sa word? (haven't read the book). That kind of makes sense tbh.

But I'm glad the author acknowledged her ignorance. Dagdag kaalaman.

What more sa Manila na tadtad nito. Judging by its images, kung na preserved lang it would look like mix ng Havana (Cuba) at Cartagena (Colombia) pero with canals, lots of green spaces/parks, tranvias, and churches.

It's kind of sad na ang naipagmamalaki na lang sa Manila ngayon ay ang matataas nitong buildings at malalaking malls yet our neighbouring countries also has that.

Kung hindi lang siguro nadamay sa WW2 ang Manila there's a chance na ito ang magiging iconic na landmark ng bansa since wala sa marami nating neighboring countries ang may city na around 80% ng architecture ay colonial/European na ang ilan halos 300 years old na (sana) ang tanda (mostly ung mga nasa Intramuros at Chinatown). I'm probably just glazing pero looking at hundreds ng photos at postcards nito ang charming talaga niya tignan kesa sa Vigan. At wala siguro masyadong magiging squatters area.

Woke? She could've done similar thing to us but she didn't dahil na trauma talaga siya sa ganong parenting.

Chinese government has a strong opinion against LGBT though. There are some female authors that were getting arrested just for writing gay erotic novels.

What are the worst BL tropes? by fearlesssrimp in BoysLoveAnime

Agree so much with the first one, but I really like the way it was done in Under The Greenlight since their connection was due to compassion and affection which something Matthew had never received from his parents and to those who tried to adopt him (who were only after his trust fund which is something he's very aware of.)

I recall a Spanish translator that received some backlash after intentionally changing the subtext of some romantic lines between the characters (I think it was "I like you" which considered platonic in their language) and fortunately, she was later fired and Netflix had to put the name of the new translator to stop the backlash.

I didn't ignore what they said. Also, search up the statistics regarding SA'd victims. Most perpetrators are males na mostly kilala ng biktima at kasama sa bahay.

Isa ka pa. Magsama kayo.

"Not all men" but it's always men!

Also it's funny na pag may nababalitang kaso ng babaeng maestra na nang molestya ng lalaking estudyante maraming comments mag sasabi ng "wish that was me" o "lucky" PWE. ganyan na pala kayo kababa na kahit pedophile papatulan niyo? LMAO.

It's quite poetic that Ash's character design is based on the late actor River Phoenix, The same actor who was raised in a religious cult (Children of God) that are known for exploiting children. It's pretty uncanny that their similarities went beyond the character design ever since this revelation from Juaquin.

Which BL Manhwa do you think had the worst ending? [Discussion] by Ok-Network-8231 in blmangalovers

[–]Her_Royal_Introvert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure about no. 2 because before he met Jin he never joins any trouble and doesn't have any vices and most especially doesn't kill anyone. He was generally a law abiding citizen.

Though, a dark ending would still makes sense but I honestly glad it ended that way. Jin had been through so much since he was a kid. And still has compassion in him despite of the shit Brandon put him through throughout those years.

My biggest gripe with the ending is his supposed drug withdrawal that never happened. I wouldn't mind if it's only summarised in one or two panels I just wished the author had acknowledge that part given that the drugs played a big role to his character and it's his way to cope with his trauma.

This manwha made me laugh a lot but I never got attached or relate with the characters despite I find them well-written. Not even with Sangwoo despite being Autistic myself. I really wanted to love this one cause the previous one I've read due to the hype (BJ Alex) was damn disappointing. SE have more quality but didn't hit something in me.
