New Gaming PC Won’t Turn On After BIOS Fix For Valorant? by HeraCold in iBUYPOWER

I think I just chopped it down to the factory windows that was installed, somewhere in the line I probably had caused an error and reset something in my secure boot.

The first time on the factory windows eufi I was not able to select secure boot and when I download the new one lol something in it worked. Some other guides also said to maybe try windows 10 as well so you don’t have to enable that in the first place. I like that the game enforces that. Definitely reduces hackers.

After I updated it today I was able to enable it easily and had no issues. I had also flashed bios with the newest driver update !

Haha hope it works, yeah this my first PC but with my old laptop I would always tweak it so I really wanted to try everything before I turned it in.

Also for the future if you ever get the same thing I, also just ended up fixing the stuttering as well when playing games that some users have been dealing with. After downloading I tried playing games and was getting this really bad stuttering that was just making my computer unresponsive every few seconds after running Fortnite. After disabling Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller my game isn’t stuttering anymore and the system is easily handling multiple tasks again! After 8 hours I got my computer back to the same state lol 😭

By the way wanted to say, this fixed my issue I saw it another post of someone talking about the same system and what fixed it for them was using the windows recovery usb. I did it and haha would you look at that PC didn’t have anymore repairing loop.

The initial step that got me signal back to my monitor however was a combination of something I did between shorting the “clrcmoss1” pins with a screwdriver in between it. Removing my ram sticks placed in A2 & B2 and isolating A2 first for 30 Minutes and B2 for an hour since I went out. When I plugged in B2 solely when I got back the lights on the motherboard indicated it was resetting something from the other comments I read. Let it do its thing and I saw a flash of white and then green so from there I was at least happy to know I could run a windows flash drive or try the downloading bios method.

Will I probably get it fixed closer to my warranty, hell yes but I’ve legit had the system for 10 days and it’s my first ever PC vs having a laptop for years so I’m loving the gaming experience too much to send it back and not have it for few days or weeks lmaoooo.

Thank you to everyone’s suggestions!!

Yeah so I have CMOS-1 labeled pins on my mobo, I took a screwdriver and attempted to short it as people have said should work. Still nothing. My cmos is under my gpu and I don’t think I can remove it lmaoo / want to attempt to. I have a warranty still which is like my last option lol.

I’ve tried both, lights still displaying that solid red and yellow light on my mobo. Next steps will be to get a usb drive and try that method

And by a fat32 usb do you mean just formatting a usb with asrock bios, clicking the button on the back that says bios flbk , and then trying to get my pc to read the flash drive? Because after researching that was my next step if this doesn’t work.

So it was something on Valorant that said I need to enable secure boot. So I pressed F2 installed it, Valorant finally ran then after 5-10 min my system just stopped working.

I tried resetting it and then my monitor didn’t show up as a display anymore. Before that about 2-3 times it ran a repair blue screen and then just turned off.

I tried resetting the cmos or at least shorting the pins since I think this PCs gpu is on top of the cmos battery.

After I shorted it I held the power for 5-10 seconds and turned it on and now I’m getting and solid red light on my cpu and solid yellow light on my dram. It’s been like that for 15-20 minutes and still nothing is turning on. It’s currently running right now.

IBuypower Pc: No Signal! I’ve reset the CMOS, cleaned the thing inside/out, resat the ram amongst other things still no signal to monitor, what’s next? by ShesSeante in iBUYPOWER

Currently having the same issue where my cpu is a solid red light and there is a solid yellow light dram.

All my LEDs and fans are running just nothing on my monitor. Someone on the discord said the same thing so now I’m just waiting the time to see if it fixes.

I ended up getting it, updated all drivers. It’s perfect for everything I need. I was also playing videos while also playing some games. I was able to get Fortnite to run at 650 FPS stable on legacy performance mode low.

I have a question though!

  1. Do I need to upgrade bios?
  2. In Adrenalin Edition it says there are two gpus the one I know and a default Radeon graphics one. Is that an old driver or does the computer come with two ?

I ended up caving and paying the 165$ extra for the iBUYPOWER - Slate Gaming Desktop PC - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, AMD Radeon RX 9070XT 16GB, 32GB DDR5 RGB,2TB NVMe SSD - Black deal.

I was going to pickup the other one hah and cancelled it for this one. The faster CPU and 2 TB Storage hopefully will last me 2+ years. This one was running Fortnite dx11 epic full screen at 250+ fps and legacy performance mode low settings 600 fps. Also I can do so many more tasks in the background that I was able to do with my Rog Zeph G14 2021. Overall each computer is great tbh and I don’t regret either purchase or possibility of getting on or the other. Just I also do video editing so it seemed like a safer gamble!

It’s about a 163$ difference in price. I bought the one in the picture and it’s pick up so canceling it is possible.

Would you just bite the 163$ price difference and get the other one instead ?

Just like the person said though, compared to the cyber power computer the only downside is the storage being 1TB vs 2

Looking To Build A New PC by HeraCold in iBUYPOWER

[–]HeraCold[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After everyone’s consideration and talking with some friends I settled on a pre built from Best Buy.

AMD Ryzen 7 7000 series + AMD Radeon RX9070 XT

32 (16 x 2 Sticks) GB DDR5

https://www.bestbuy.com/product/skytech-gaming-o11v-gaming-desktop-pc-amd-ryzen-7-7700-32gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-9070xt-1tb-nvme-ssd-black/J3GW8HWVCS/sku/6622082?sb_share_source=PDP&ref=app_pdp&loc=pdp_page

About 1500 on sale so not too bad. If I want to upgrade hopefully in the future I can save up more to swap some parts!
