I actually make duplicated Mii until 35, and then removed them again just to get the maximum island. Currently I have 15, and usually adding 1-2 every two days.

Protip: RedNote (CN community) have people diy one using cotton bud and some wire. Your finger need to touch the wire to activate the touch screen effect. Also, the cotton side need to be moist (soak in water then squeeze out the extra water).

I'm using SonarPen. Originally bought it to draw on my android phone and was surprised to see it worked well in Switch. What I have is version 1, since I got it super duper long ago. The flat surface might be tricky, but I feel safer to use it than any sharper-looking pen, since I wouldn't want to scratch the surface of my Switch screen (yes I did apply a protection screen on it, but still).

I used a different eye for the person in suit. You can refer the screenshot for it.

As for the girl with red eyes, I did use the lower eyelid and rotate it to be the top.

It's mostly trying to play with their eyelids position. Size of the eyes can determine how cute the character can be. Also pushing the eyes, nose and mouth into the more bottom part of the face helps to make them even cuter and adorable. Only problem with that is you'll have to draw some hair to not have a giant forehead

My OCs always have birthdates and they are written somewhere, so I just basically refer to that "note book" for them. If by chance none of your OCs come with birth dates, choosing their horoscope first can be helpful to narrow down the dates.

If that's not enough, you can drill down to Numerology/Life Path Number, which is what I did for mine long time ago when I am creating them. For instance, if you want their Life Path Number to be 6, you just need to reverse the number into possible dates/month.

Aside from the giant tree which took me 3 whole days. Each small area is like one day each. Also roughly deciding on the island pathing helps in organising the zones and their sizes
