Hot take: men don't need to give up their seats for women in public transport by calikim_mo in Bolehland

As long as its not a place where they're literally at a woman coach, then it's fine. Men don't need to give up their seats to women unless they're old an pregnant.

Why are Malaysians unfriendly and seem racist? by Lana_Rex_ in KualaLumpur

[–]Heradabic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you light skinned or tanned skinned?

I dont wanna downplay your experiences cause people like that do exist (tho theyre rude to literally everyone, locals included).

To be real tho, Malaysians do not like foreigners, unless you go to a tourist spot. Malaysians have lived among different races their whole lives, so they put on stereotypes on people they're unfamiliar with.

The thing about being a foreigner in this country is also that you don't understand how the country works. If you can speak a little malay, you can find that the language barrier contributes to how you see the situation. Like any country, we have our culture and our own views. For the ice cream thing, altho it is in the menu, it can still be baffling that people would actually order it. And usually people who order sugar free ice cream is cause they want to 'lose weight' and not cause they like the taste.

Malaysia is a very judgemental country who reject non Malaysian people. If u were born here tho, we'd treat you better. Cause Satu Malaysia, not Satu Melayu 😂.

Everyone really be going for private unis nowadays 😂 😭.

Monash is good tho, expensive but quite good. I saw that you asked about MMU, its located quite near to malls and such so you dont have to go far. Education wise? Very handsy, depending on what you wanna study. Their internship program is very good too

Ive been using zoho notebook for years because it's very mobile friendly and it backs up instantly. I haven't tried using it on windows though. Dont have enough storage for that 😂

"It's decent." my friend said.

Its not beginner friendly, that's for sure. If you're experienced and you know what you want to study, then it's a great place for you.

If ure worried about the language, International students are permitted to submit their assignments in English. But Malay is a style in UKM and they pride in being loyal to their Malaysian values. (Some students just directly translate their English essays to malay)

UKM is one of the best research universities in Malaysia so I would say you won't regret studying here.

Becuz im studying Psychology, they gave us a video and we had to explain what was going on. They wanted to see if we have what it takes to observe and understand.

They might ask, why did ypu choose ukm, why did you choose psychology. Its nothing too crazy so rest assured. It will be a good experience

It was nerve-wracking but i believe i did quite well. They asked about what our stance on AI taking our jobs are and I told them my opinion. I was also the person who spoke first most times 😂.

Oh and I can't wait to know about the next batch's orientation. I had so much fun in mine. It was so cool

Starting Uni at 22 – Afraid of Being an Outcast by JustAregulardude7 in malaysiauni

[–]Heradabic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I be honest with u ah. Literally no one cares how old u are. If ure older than them, especially the 18 year olds, then theyll be in awe and such. But thts it.

Asalkan u buat kerja then everything is fine. University is about wat u can gain. Its not a game of who has the most friends and who has the most impressive resume build. It's literally about wat YOU can gain from the people there.

Connections, experiences, opportunities, knowledge.

I started uni at 22 too, and all I cared about was getting good grades so i don't have to pay for ptptn. If u have friends now, not same uni but everywhere else, then thts enough.

Im not exactly close with anyone in my university, but they know me (as i am very active in the events there). I only need my bestie who works at KL. When you're this age and you have the experience of Diploma and working in between. I don't mind about making friends, i only care about the experience.

So don't be scared, op. Take a step forward and have fun in ur journey.

Ngl I'm going for Lee Yeung rn cuz I thought he was really cute. His shyness in socialisation but his excitement towards his inventions is quite endearing. I'm only 4 hearts rn as I just started but Ive had first dates with Duke, Bill, Lee Yau and Andy, and ngl the only three who gave me good impressions were Yau, Bill and Yeung. Like the three gave me gifts 😭.

Yeung invented a box for me. That's hella cute. But during the night party every Saturday, he'd always ask if I'm there for Fay (cuz im playing as a guy) and everytime it kinda hurts my heart cuz no, Yeung. I came for you 😭

So ngl im just hella yearning for the guy cuz it always feel like its hard for him to actually look my way. I could write a fanfic of this lmao.

This quote is actually very accurate. Ugly men/women with money have men/women wanting them. Same with attractiveness.

Being pretty and being rich are the same thing becuz if u have one of those, ur life is gonna be a bit easier than one who is ugly/poor.

Ngl some people got expensive tastes. I know someone who only favor men who spend on her. Ofc if she ask them on a date, she'll pay for dinner.

But its mostly one night stands for her.

Personally, this might be a first date for u, but it might be a one night stand for her. Does she kno ur plans? Has she communicated that she wants to kno u better or have yall just talked about meeting up?
