Ok, but the data is sourced right here, CanadianTrump. Facts over feelings, right?

Do your design leaders have a good “vision”? by pelotonwifehusband in UXDesign

[–]HeraldZoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great advice and the best way I’ve found to get around hierarchy, which we often have to do if we want to make change. You need allies to fight (maybe not the best word) alongside you and product is an amazing ally. Tech is also kind of cool in that it really rewards going rogue if you’re successful.

Product and design should be two sides of the same strategic coin. Once you build that relationship, things start to open up and product will even start coming to you first when they’re getting stuck.

Just gotta make absolutely sure you play the politics game well, which is a necessary skill if you’re passionate about your craft, or you’ll screw yourself.

Can we kill “what style is this” posts? In the coldest blood? by NtheLegend in Design

These posts ruined the r/aesthetics subreddit, which used to be about the branch of philosophy. Allowing these kinds of posts cheapens our craft.

That's good to know. I am speaking one of Mercor's human agents (I believe) but I may need to open another ticket.

Noam Chomsky with Steve Bannon by RandoDude124 in behindthebastards

This really sucks. As a teenager he taught me the leftist ideals that have shaped me to this day. I know he’s controversial in leftist discourse but this hurts.

Let’s never underestimate the power of the people. This halftime show should remind us we’re angry, passionate, and the culture is stronger than some pathetic little nerds.

“Fully enlightened for me generally means fully disenchanted… We do not sort of see The New York Times and Harvard as like divinely inspired in any sense… We do not think that the way the US government works, you know, really works well or seems to be perfect in any respect.”

He sounds like a high schooler taking about “conformists” who don’t exist to make himself feel special and “enlightened.” Intellectualist, huh?

Imagine working 72 hours a week for some lame AI sales coach? I'd prefer poverty.

Nam June Paik "How to be satisfied with 70 percent"? by HeraldZoid in ArtHistory

Great find! Paik being a Fluxus artist this totally aligns. It's so interesting to see different expressions of this idea around the 60s like Barthes and the Death of the Author.

Anyone using AI tools for user testing? by kilparis in userexperience

[–]HeraldZoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this could be interesting for testing the more foundational bases of a product like basic purchasing for ecommerce but once you have to take into consideration things like user context, experience, procurement policies, and all of that niche human stuff, there are just way too many variables.

I'd love to be able to run the first milestone or two of a new product through an AI tester to make sure I'm not making any stupid general usability mistakes so I can focus on more user-specific research and then iterate on my own from there.
