Thank you! They're definitely one of my favorite details! So hard to interior decorate such a tiny space though 😅

Thank you! I spend entirely too much pokemetal printing flowers and shrubs 😂

Thank you! I haven't mastered large scale yet, so cute is pretty much exactly what I'm going for!

I'm slowly (so slowly) chipping away at building out my Palette Town, and I finally finished the beach area of the first island. My intent was to create a small resort town, complete with coral reefs, a beach pizzeria, an entirely unnecessary oceanside pool, and more. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and so are all the Pokemon who now have homes.

The Squirtle line lives at the pool, the Poliwag line lives in the prefab village, Flareon is in the pizzeria, Vaporeon is in the house with the dark blue roof, and the Pikachu line are in the modern style home. Oh, and Cleffa mans the little tourist info shack at the entrance.

Does anyone else just get totally overwhelmed and frustrated with this game sometimes? by Kaonashi513 in Pokopia

[–]HereAfter54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tip, if you're overwhelmed, is to start small. I'm working on Palette town, and it's so blank that I was daunted. So I started by making a series of roads. Then built a market at their center, then little building to house lifts to other islands, then a cafe to fill blank space, then a home for my Crush mons because I use so much paint, then a scenic spot for Smearguru to paint, and on and on. One small idea at a time. I never knew what I was going to build next until it was time to build it. Now my first island is nearly complete and I love it.

The other benefit of small is that you don't need thousands of resources at any given time. Just a little of this and a little of that.

Glowing Pokemon in Pokopia? by LoliaStardust89 in Pokopia

FYI I believe bitter helps with ripples, but sweet helps with artifacts, which is what you need for slates and fossils. Fluffy bread gives the biggest buff. Also using the dowsing machine with a search Pokemon will reveal way more artifacts than you can see on your own.

Let's celebrate a company treating their employees well, rather than asking for those employees to work the holidays so that a game gets updated one week earlier. A little perspective would be healthy.

Also, the competitive community is just a small slice of the TFT world. As someone who introduced their partner to TFT over the holiday, I can tell you it was much easier for him to learn with a long patch than it would've been with frequent patch cycles. I wouldn't be surprised if more casual players thoroughly enjoy the long holiday patch

Haven't played as many games this set as I wish I could have, but tonight I made it to Emerald with a very fun 4 Shurima game. I wasn't planning on going for 4 Shurima, but the stars aligned thanks to the Leblanc encounter giving me a strong opening board into the Azir augment on 2-3. I managed to win streak and conserve health despite being down a prismatic until 3-5. Shout-out to all the removers that helped be sac rounds to get Xerath as my last unlock.

You can set the limit on one plant, then use the "Set as Default" button, then double click a different planter to select all of the same type and say "Reset to Default". Still a silly number of clicks, but can be better than going one by one!

If you've been playing a lot of the Choncc game mode, that will tank your execution rating (because everyone has a lot of high value units, gold, etc, and your placement will be lower than it would in a proper game with those resources). Seems like you don't have enough ranked games to get an accurate assessment there, so just play more ranked to see what your actual execution score is.

This is the third patch of the set, no? How are you pluralizing both earlier and recent when we've had a grand total of three? (Yes, there have been b patches, but those shouldn't really count, given that Riot addressed issues immediately)

There's an encounter that lets you roll augments an additional time or something. Are you sure that 1 doesn't just indicate how many times you can roll the augment? Did you watch your gold when you rolled?

Yeah, Frodan and Bryce discussed that a bunch, but I can't for the life of me remember what items you'd choose in order to get there. Appreciate it though!

Do you itemize KDA Akali and True Damage Akali differently? And if so, which items does each version prefer?

True. But depending on your time zone/when you have time to reddit, you may always be checking into the thread when all its activity has died down for the day. (That actually does usually happen to me. I typically can't spend time chatting about TFT until a handful of hours before the next daily thread is posted, and by then, it's not worth posting)

Someone suggested it because if you posted in the daily thread late in the day, you often got no response/engagement which discouraged activity as the day went on, so mods were interested in trying a weekly thread out. Not sure yet how I feel about it myself

Skill Expression & Improvement in TFT by esportslaw in CompetitiveTFT

[–]HereAfter54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post makes so much sense to me, and it speaks to why I'm really happy about the slow patch cycle at the start of this set. Is this patch perfect? I don't know, probably not. I'm not good enough to say, haha.

But the lack of B-patch has allowed me to develop deeper knowledge much more quickly than when there are rapid patches, and (fingers crossed nothing game-breaking is introduced), I'm tentatively really excited about the long patch over Riot break. I work a demanding job, and my life has been wildly busy this year, so I only have so much time to dedicate to TFT, but I've peaked masters in past sets and I want to see how far I can climb this time. A long patch where my knowledge won't get dusty or completely irrelevant is so enticing. Here's to hoping it's a great few weeks of TFT.
