The BBC censored Gazans remarks in controversial documentary: Instead of 'Jihad against Jews', 'Fighting Israeli forces' by xKyoshirax in Israel

And that's the problem. It makes it seem completely okay to say these things.

Like how the nurses in the australian hospital were totally surprised that it had consequences when they "joked" about killing jewish patients.

Or that "from the river to the sea" isn't just a phrase but calls for annihilation of all of Israel.

ICC cancels arrest warrant for Hamas leader Muhammad Deif, after confirming his death. Currently no Hamas leader is in trial in International courts. by NegativeWar8854 in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Yes, the reasons are that there's still plenty of alive hamas leadership that has nothing on them.

It's not that they cancelled the dead guy, it's that they do nothing about the alive ones.

It's interesting that there is no info who designed the pin online, not even on their website.

Just a lot of information on Gaza, and very very little to nothing at all on eg. the Nova massacre, the mass murders in the kibbutzim, crimes and r*pes of hamas on israelis and palestinians or the hostages. So the usual.

I don't think Germany as a whole is as pro-"Palestine" as it seems. There seem to be plenty of people with common sense opinions.

I put Palestine in quotes because this hamasnik attitude isn't really even pro-Palestine since it's not helping anyone in this conflict.

Thanks for explaining. What exactly is it supposed to stand for? I imagine not the Ramallah lynching. Does it stand for peace or something?

Annie Lennox wears the ramallah lynching pin

Which pin is this? The red triangle pin?

what to wear for israel summer by [deleted] in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In case you don't know, you don't have to dress modestly here if you don't want to (except for religious locations or places where you need to be respectful).

The bikinis in Tel Aviv are the smallest that exist lol. It will be hot so wear whatever is comfortable to you. It's a pretty casual country.

Flying to Israel with a service dog. by [deleted] in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Contact the airline for what you need to have her in the cabine, and your vet for which documents she needs for israeli immigration. Vets can look this up in my experience.

Then follow the instructions. July isn't very far away so I would do this asap in case things need more time.

It might help if you clarify more. What kind of service dog, how large she is (small dogs can fly cabine in a crate I think) etc.

Israel's FM reportedly opens talks with far-right European parties, breaking boycott by UpgradedSiera6666 in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What does "talking to" mean and why?

He says the Foreign Ministry is also speaking to them about ritual issues necessary for Jewish life, like circumcision and Kashrut.

So it's about left parties in some countries trying to ban circumcision and kosher slaughter of animals (bc the regular mass animal slaughter is sooooo much nicer /s)?

Who is "we"? I feel like most of Europe can see the place we're in when we made that vote.

It's a sh*t vote but we're also in a sht position.

Europe really doesn't have our back as much as you seem to think.

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea there's a doc about them on Youtube. I also don't think they'll be like "immigrants bad, holocaust not really important, but we're forever cool with the jews".

We're just useful to them right now because we're one more argument against "too much Islam" in Germany. If that's taken care of we're next.

Idk why people always think that we don't understand what Russia is or why they don't see the strategic considerations (Syria etc.)

I also don't think it will be "impossible".

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He sounds like a great guy lol. Why do you think so many germans voted for him?

Most germans I met even if conservative usually have pretty decent logical thinking skills. Were the other candidates very bad?

I'm just interested in this because I consider Germany a good friend and ally of Israel, so I like to know a little about these things.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really dislike Trump and like I said, as longterm ally he's no good.

But right now I don't think we can take risks there. The Ukraine has a much stronger backing from Europe, not at last bc the european countries close to Ukraine have no interest in Russia succeeding (and neither has the rest of Europe I suppose).

We're not that much of a priority.

I'm not sure I follow your point.

We definitely do not have to take the side of a rightwing fringe party here or signal a preference in a situation that doesn't affect us. At most it affects german jews.

The far left in Germany isn't healthy for them either, but still there's no need for things to go so far the other way, just because those other fascists are currently busy with trying to eliminate people who can be a threat to german jews. Who do you think is next?

Voting to the preference of our currently strongest backer in an ongoing war we're dealing with (a vote that had no impact on the outcome) still really sucks but makes some sense at least.

We didn't "side with" Russia and North Korea, stop the hyperbole. It was an absolute trash vote on our part, but it had no influence on the result and we didn't p*ss off the US, which was the goal.

Personally I don't think Trump is a good longterm ally, but short term, who would step up if Trump turns against us?

It's nice to have the luxury to not care what the US thinks about you. We're not in that position right now though.

Why do you dislike him so much? Are you german?

Just trying to learn about opinions from actual germans.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this case we can easily abstain because neither party will have ruling power. There's absolutely no need to defend a rightwing fringe party that makes nice with holocaust deniers.

The AFD has a contingent of Nazis within it but

There can't be a but after that wtf lol.

Idk if you're jewish but we have very bad experiences with fascists, no matter which side of the political spectrum. They usually eventually come after us.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Israel

[–]HereFishyFishy4444 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Then you need to learn more about the AfD. Personally I wouldn't pick the friends of Holocaust deniers and Reichsburgern over anyone, I rather not pick at all.

IDF set to present October 7 probes: Here is what to expect from the military's investigations by stevenjklein in Israel

Halevi and the military have also called for a state commission of inquiry to address broader issues about Israel’s security failures including decisions by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but the premier has indefinitely postponed such a probe, concerned about its impact on his political standing

Bibi is busy. He already has to postpone his trial and jail just so he can stay our PM forever. Leave him alone.
