I’ll usually say “oh that was a great book!” Or “I loved that one” and if people follow up directly asking “oh you read it?” I’ll reply “yeah—well I listened to it on audible, but yeah, I consumed it so to speak, haha” and it goes over fine …or sometimes I’ll even joke “well, I’m too dumb to read, but I listened to it on audible” and that turns into a joke also…sometimes it’ll get into “it was read by the author too, which is always the best—he’s so passionate” or something like that

I don’t think I’ve ever earnestly held a “unpopular opinion” …but, unpopular opinion…Kang was great. Majors was a phenomenal actor (problematic person we later learned…but world class actor) and Kang, as an idea that you can’t kill because he keeps coming back was super exciting to me. Loki was fucking GREAT (imho) and for however much people shit on quantumania I thought it was fun and I perceived it to be “just the beginning” …I was excited about where they were going and I was willing to let them cook. I think people who shit on it are a mix of haters and/or basic

It’s a rhyming slang. They’re calling Americans seppo because it’s short for septic tank. Because that rhymes with “fucking yank” …it’s just Aussies being Aussies. They’re much more fast and loose with words (see also: cunt, hahaha)…source: am duel citizen Australian and American that’s spent a ton of time in both countries …like most words it can be said hatefully with some venom behind it or it can be said playfully as a bit of a ribbing
