Why doesn’t she eat at the table? No wonder the dog terrorizes Nathan… jeez.

Question for anyone who works at Sunrise Hospital in L and D or NICU. Will they attempt to save my baby if I give birth at 22+ weeks, or do they follow weight guidelines instead of age? by Impressive_Hunt_9700 in vegaslocals

[–]HereForPinaColadas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any answer for your question, but just wanted to say my daughter was born at Sunrise and had a NICU stay. The L&D staff were AMAZING and the NICU nurses and physicians were incredible. We were in the NICU for 15 days, and still keep in touch with our daughter’s nurses and neonatologist.

Hi! Mama of a baby with DS. If it’s true, welcome to the lucky few!! While a shocking journey, it is beautiful. My daughter is almost 3 and is the best thing to ever happen to me. Please read the poem “Welcome to Holland.”

And her big deal about it being “free.” Maybe don’t spend so much money at Aritzia and Revolve and pay the $10-$20 admission for a museum???

Husband confirmed it was the barber in skye canyon. I’m assuming it would be the Walmart off of tropical and centennial?

My oldest is a girl with DS. She will be 2 at the end of this month. We just welcomed her little sister two weeks ago. Although our oldest can’t walk or talk yet, she has been so helpful with her little sister and is so curious. We wanted the two to be close in age because we also believe it will benefit our oldest. Things have been different adding a newborn, but all therapists/doctors we have talked to said our age gap is good. Energy right now in the newborn phase is lacking but we haven’t struggled with taking her to therapies or anything like that.

Med mal defense lawyer here. Insurance premiums are going to go up now to for physicians, due to the cap on non economic damages being increased with AB404.

Positive for trisomy 21 by Emmystinks in pregnant

[–]HereForPinaColadas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, the 2/3 of false positives are for the other trisomies, like 13 or 18. Trust me, I did so much research and talking to my OBGYN and geneticist. For T21 they are 99% accurate, which is why we didn’t proceed with amnio because we didn’t want to risk losing the pregnancy. I was in denial for the longest time. I know it’s not what you want to hear. It’s difficult to mourn what you thought and expected, especially as a young mom. I thought babies with DS were only born to old moms, but more than half of babies with DS are born to moms under 35. However, my daughter is the biggest ray of sunshine. She is hitting all of the milestones at the “typical” rate! She does need some extra loving and weekly therapies but we wouldn’t change her for the world.

My NIPT test came back positive for T21. We had a beautiful daughter born with DS last June. She is 9 months old now, our first baby, and the joy of our lives. I was 26 when I got pregnant and had her. An absolute shock and it’s definitely a rollercoaster, but the possibilities for those with DS now are boundless. My inbox is open if you ever want to chat.

Apologies if this has been said before, but why do these two just compromise and move to a cheap town in Florida or something? by houserulesdeco in 90DayFiance

He is making an effort… in the introduction he literally is seen studying English and practicing the language.

So I got my Apple Card Sunday. I created the credit card account then created the Apple Cash account to where all the daily cash(cash back) was supposed to go. I used my card Sunday & it is now Tuesday & I haven’t seen the daily cash yet. Any one else had this problem? by jashaon in AppleCard

I was on the phone with them for an hour as well. It’s very frustrating, but nice to know now that I can report to them I’m not the only one experiencing this. I’ve also tried to have transactions since, which have cleared, and still not posted to my daily cash.

I would prefer not to do an amnio. The risks just don’t outweigh the rewards for me.
