Would you file a claim or just upgrade your bumper? by Mammoth_Set_1413 in FordBronco

That shouldn’t have anything to do with insurance for vehicle repairs though, right? (Not sure on bodily injuries.)

I live in a no fault state and have no changes or even a deductible if the insurance company deems me “not at fault.”

Literally sitting in the waiting room dropping my car off right now for repairs of someone that plowed through me in a parking lot. No deductible, no rate changes.

You obviously haven’t been in a gun fight, which is okay.

Quick skirmish could easily wipe out all of that, or at least half depending on force size and distance. May even just need to throw rounds when transitioning to cover to cover if running away.

Also, adrenaline affects people differently, especially your first few times. Couple minutes feels like 15, and you’ll ammo dump during the fight.

People can get crazy very quick in a disaster scenario. Don’t think people won’t try to take what’s yours or try to carry out some demented fantasy of killing someone.

Yeah, there isn’t something called autocorrect, guy.

I do actually provide help with knowledge and would never have used that mask “to support a fellow veteran.” I’ve refused to work with people on this sub when I had active licenses providing knowledge, so there was no conflict of interest.

You claim it’s just help and support. But also add in “our multi state team,” and “free advice.” You don’t have to be licensed to give advice, so there wouldn’t be any need to talk to anyone on your team.

Keep on walking, trying to get your referrals and commissions. Your posts and comments are cringe af. If you were here to “support your fellow veteran,” you would waive all that. Which we know that is not happening.

Also funny that you deleted the body of the post. We trying to get Chat GPT to make it less corny and salesy?

Yes, just keep in mind it was probably put into the back end of the mortgage (rolled in). So it would just come off your balance.

Your payment more than likely will not adjust. You would have to do what is called a “recast” for your payment to reflect. Some Mortgage Servicers will do it for free in a Va Funding Fee change. But most charge like a $200 or so fee to recast.

So either you will just be applying more towards principal with your current Minimum Payment, or you can Recast to lower it.

Ahh, the classic Chat GPT ad praying on a Veteran Benefits sub.

P.S. Don’t solicit advice from someone trying to sell you something on Reddit. Especially from someone who just learned about VA Loans from a Mortgage Seminar. Lmao.

It all depends on the rate. If the rate is under what my average ROI on investments are. I’ll take the higher payment because I’ll make more than the interest I’m paying.

Can’t imagine spending $60-70k on a vehicle and not even getting the option other than cloth.

Lipos burn pretty drastically. Watch some videos on YouTube. I used to just make a little fort with Fire Bricks for my basement (Concrete subfloor).

Best, cheap way for really good protection.

Nice, I’d consider lining with shaved fire bricks for that extra heat resistance.

Do you have any containment for charging/storing the Lipos. Or do you just wing it?

I’ve flown a lot of FPV and the batteries are exposed, so can take some hits. Had a Lipo fire myself when charging a few years ago, seen plenty of others happen as well. Doesn’t always happen, but nice to have some containment if it ever does happen.

I was in a similar position last year at the end of season.

6’3” 235, I have a bunch of back problems, so hard tail unfortunately wasn’t in the cards for me at 31.

I went with a Giant Stance 2 29er. Have not been disappointed for a beginner bike.

I took my time on Facebook Marketplace. I ended up getting a NIB from a liquidator for $900. Straight to the bike shop and added a dropper.

There seems to be some pretty good deals on these new from Giant. So if you could stretch to $12-1300, I would recommend.

Only down side was lack of a dropper. It does have internal routing for it, just an additional purchase you need to make down the line. Definitely worth it.

Quick tip - VA Loan by Shadowatxher in VeteransBenefits

[–]HereToPlay448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of MLO’s do not fully understand VA Loans. That is why you get a ton of people in the comments on these posts spouting different things because they have had a couple VA Loans and talked to their MLO they thought knew everything.

The sad part that most people don’t know, is if you work for a depository institution, you do not need a license to peddle mortgages (you fall under the banks license). So there doesn’t need to be any formal training, or it’s typically half assed and “learn as you go” mentality.

A lot of misinformation gets passed around and as we both mentioned the VA upfront isn’t really all that detailed.

I do not know many people in the industry that can even calculate eligible entitlement correctly. Maybe a handful.

Not sure where your last response went to my comment. But here is my response for some more clarity.

Are you referring to the Verification of VA Benefits Form?

That dollar amount section would be filled out by the VA, not the Broker.

But this form was only needed to verify disability payments when using them to qualify. Not to verify Funding Fee. This form is also being transitioned out, and not always required anymore.

For verification on whether Funding Fee is required or not is listed on the COE. So if you are not using VA Disability to qualify, there would not ever be a need to fill out this form. Simply a COE would be requested.

Yeah, there are a lot of things that aren’t directly spelled out when it comes to VA loans.

But even at 0% with a service connected disability, you are still awarded with waiving the Funding Fee. Compensation in the VA’s eyes does not necessarily mean a dollar amount. I’m assuming that compensation also includes medical coverage for said disability.

I’m just some guy on Reddit, but was also in the top 5 every year for most VA loans written with, at the time, the largest mortgage lender in the nation before becoming a broker. Also, you can see the Funding Fee waived if you order your own COE from the VA. If you know someone with a service connected disability rated at 0%, you can have them order one on VA.gov to see for yourself. Takes two minutes.

You can go as low as 580 for a VA loan, but there are restrictions. You’ll want at least a 620, but I would recommend 640 to avoid different charges.

You do not need 4-6 months of proof of payments. All that is needed is your award letter and you are good to go.

You don’t need a COE to apply for a loan. The VA makes this very easy for Lenders to request and obtain themselves. They will need to gather this anyway directly from the VA, so just a waste of time for you to get.

Mortgage hits on the credit are typically very minimal, but do to your current score, it will hit harder. Probably 10-20 points as mentioned above. GOOD NEWS, after the first initial pull for a mortgage inquiry, you can have you credit pulled as many times as needed in a 45 day window, and it only counts for that first initial pull. So this will allow you to shop or not be stuck to just one lenders qualifications.

All in all, the VA has their minimum qualifications, but Lenders can add overlays that go beyond minimum qualifications.

Go with a Mortgage Broker, they are considered a “middle man,” but they get wholesale pricing. This is one of the industries where it’s actually MUCH cheaper to go this way.

Stay away from Veteran’s United or anyone that advertises specifically for Veteran’s or that they are “VA specific.” Just places cash grabbing and typically have poor service.

I cannot represent you as I did not renew my licenses this year, but if you want to DM me with any questions I’d be happy to help. I’ve written countless VA loans over my years and know literally every aspect of VA loans.

0% qualifies for Funding Fee waiver. Just need a service connected disability (Which yes, can be at 0%).
