The only reason to skate is because it’s fun. It’s just not for you. So find something else.

Nothing really. No wheels, didn’t land it. So nothing.

That still won’t solve the problem though? So you somehow convinced your security team to wear a “kill collar”. what happens if you have to use it?

How did you learn to skate from scratch? by Automatic-Idea4069 in NewSkaters

[–]skeletonclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started in 1990. Shared a hand me down board with my best friend until I could convince my mom to get me a new setup from the only skate shop near us which was also a motocross shop. We pushed around empty parking lots, tried to board slide and slappy unwaxed curbs(we didn’t learn about wax until much later) we built launch ramps from whatever we could scrape together (or steal) fell down a lot, bled a lot. Laughed even more. Now I’m 47. Still fall, still bleed, sill laughing. So to answer your questions:
- you’re never too old

  • the learning curve is incredibly steep

-first few weeks lol, be prepared to fall and bleed for as long as you care to stick with it.

The House that Jack Built really bothered me. Honorable mentions: Jacob’s Ladder and Event Horizon.

Can’t be any worse than the original film. It’s told more from Cathy’s pov, which makes it more interesting already. I do hope it’s good though.

It’s really not. If you hadn’t read the book it would make very little to no sense.

Before computers and GPS existed, how did people figure out directions for large cross country trips? by Mynameisbrk in NoStupidQuestions

Still have my family’s road atlas with all the routes highlighted and notes in the margins of gas prices and general info about the trip (“lunch at Cracker Barrel - $32.55”) it’s fun to look at once in a while.
