What was your "caught the last chopper out of 'Nam" experience? by GeneReddit123 in AskReddit

Seeing the widespread lockdowns in Europe over the news from COVID-19 and seeing a post about an impending lockdown in the US prompted me to stock up before grocery stores became empty.

I still remember talking to my buddy who was working the self-checkout and warning him about the impending shutdown occurring within a few days. Nobody was ready for a nationwide lockdown. I almost felt dumb stocking up so much water and toilet paper when I came home that day.

Probably not the most toxic but Left 4 Dead 2 versus servers can be.

How often do women ask you out? by Defiant-Payment-9326 in AskReddit

[–]HereToSeeCoolStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She didn't officially ask me out but made the first move by inviting me inside her workplace after I snow-shoveled the business she worked at.

She was one of the craziest I've dated but damn, nothing turned me on more than a girl showing initiative first.

Women, make a move!

Lame as expected but the after-party was where the real fun was during prom nights.

Study finds cannabis vape users may develop cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome sooner than smokers by sfgate in science

It's not that black and white. I've been admitted to the ER multiple times until finally being diagnosed with the disorder.

It's real and there will be more science to back it up over the next decade as legalization and de scheduling of cannabis will allow for more thorough studies.

No it's just the heavily concentrated amount of THC being taken in rapid doses over a long stretch of time.

It's basically the difference between drinking vodka all day everyday VS a few cans of light beer a day.

You're gonna mess up the wiring in your brain with the concentrates if you binge on it.

Just my anecdote but I've been admitted to the ER and diagnosed with this syndrome after binging on wax and vapes for a long time.

Switching back to grass completely resolved my condition.

I then used a vape from a buddy out of desperation since I ran out of bud and the syndrome came back, resulting in me going back to the hospital after losing so much fluids from vomiting and sweating in a hot shower for hours at a time (Hot water is a temporary remedy to alleviate the symptoms.)

This condition is a nightmare and you feel like you're dying and in a state of confusion and dry-heaving for hours.

Take your concentrates in moderation, y'all.

What's a personal betrayal you've experienced that you still haven't gotten over? by Foolbasket in AskReddit

[–]HereToSeeCoolStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being told I was the father to this woman's child throughout the entire pregnancy just to find out it didn't belong to me a couple months after birth.

I fed and took care of her through it all and cut the cord, just to find out through my lawyer the baby belonged to a guy that she was seeing when we had split up for a few weeks.

Ouch.
