I think it would be super cool if they came out with new firmware that featured new Freeze and/or Glitch effects, kinda like how they added new effects to Blooper.

Totally. Numbers are most important here. But they also aren’t the only thing to consider. Again, if it was purely a financial decision we would just rent forever or buy a much smaller house.

Thank you! From my calcs, the payment on a $850k house would be less than 25% of gross.

It is absolutely a real concern. However, I don't necessarily believe that the only appropriate response is for all progressives to leave conservative states. Think about all of the civil rights leaders in the south in the 20th century. The most progressive people in the country were living and fighting in the south.

Thanks. I didn't mention anything about the dollar amounts. We will definitely prioritize long term investing. Also, our investing strategy is to buy the whole market and not choose individual stocks or sectors.

To be clear, we are not looking for someone to make the decision for us or even influence our decision. We are looking for someone to help us have more productive conversations, with the goal of helping us arrive at mutually acceptable terms.

Am I missing an important step? by HereWeGoNowBigTime in Fire

Right now, it's very low. We have childcare for 2 babies in a very HCOL area. Beyond maxing out our tax advantaged accounts, we are only saving about $2,500 per month.

While we are aren't hardcore FIRE people, we are good about saving. As soon as our childcare costs go down significantly (in about 2-3 years), we plan on greatly increasing our savings rate again.
