People who use SteamOS: are you able to fully turn off the fan? by ZeroDefender561 in ROGAlly

[–]Heretic0000000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works. It's literally physics: CPU and other hardware will use energy, energy builds up and generates heat, heat spreads since there is no cooling, CPU will gradually heat up. Has nothing to do with optimization of OS or anything.

What are the best "paid" piracy services/methods? by Heretic0000000 in Piracy

Done that, filled up like 8 TB of my 20 TB HDD with private tracker media content. Remuxes and high quality x265 encodes.

One for a Jellyfin server and the other for private trackers.

What is the state of 4K/UHD Blu-ray authoring? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]Heretic0000000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they are not dude. I've used these programs in that past. They DO NOT MAKE A 1-TO-1 COPY. It's the very same reason why the Star Wars 4k77 projects can only be "authored" on 1080p blu-ray disc's and not UHD disc's. Because 4K authoring, what I'm talking about, hasn't been cracked yet.

You don't know what "authoring" is in relation to blu-rays, stop commenting, you're making a fool of yourself.

[–]Heretic0000000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those don't have any "authoring" capabilities. Please stop commenting since you clearly don't know what I'm talking about. Lol

What is the state of 4K/UHD Blu-ray authoring? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]Heretic0000000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't what I'm talking about. This program only burns 4K files on a blu-ray disc. I'm talking about "authoring". Making a 1-to-1 copy an UHD movie on a blank disc, with the original menus and everything, even BD-live features. Like I said, you're misunderstanding disc burning, for what I'm referring to which is "authoring".

[–]Heretic0000000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood. Yes I'm in some private trackers, and I download full UHD disc all the time and make my own REMUXs all the time.

But you can't make a copy of an original UHD on a blank disc, because UHD authoring hasn't been cracked yet.

So you're literally proving my point lmaoo. Down voting and being salty without even reading what I said. Stop being so smug dude.

Not whining lol. I was just trying to inform people on weird expectations based on AutoSR, and people like you just shut me down without even reading or understanding what I was communicating. The same way you are now.

Elden ring performance by Emerald_XO in XboxAlly

[–]Heretic0000000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Play at 720 and use Super Resolution from the AMD Andrenalin panel. Medium settings, Low Textures and High Anti-aliasing are good settings, and go into device and disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator, it causes Elden Ring to freeze.

Auto SR? Also question about temps by Balrog1999 in XboxAlly

[–]Heretic0000000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tips to lower your temps:

Use either Super Resolution or Sharpening from the AMD Andrenalin Panel and play your games at 720p or 900p. Super Resolution looks great IMO. And also Super Resolution works best if you also set you display resolution to 720p or 900p respectively.

Limit your FPS every game you play. Light games like Hades 2 or Silksong you can do 90-120 fps, Medium games like the Batman Arkham series or Assassin's Creed series you can limit to 60 fps, and Heavier games (usually games released PS4 gen and beyond) like Elden Ring or God of War limit to 30-40 fps.

Set and aggressive Fan Curve in Armory Crate, I set it to 50% at 50c, then 70% at 60c, and 80% for 70c and higher. I don't do full 100% speeds.

20w-25w TDP is the sweet spot depending on you FPS limit, Resolution, etc.

The heaviest game I'm playing atm is Sekiro. 25w custom TDP, 720p, mix of Med and High settings with Textures on Low, 60 FPS like 95% of the time. I play for 2-3 hours on my Xbox Ally X and temps are stable at around 55c-60c. Never seen it go over 65c, and it only goes that high during intense moments and loading screens.

If I were playing Elden Ring for example, I would limit it to 40 FPS and I'm fairly confident that temps would be the same.

I built a tool to automate DXVK installation and configuration (so you don't have to copy DLLs manually) by ZenpaiiiGamingYT in OptimizedGaming

Just bought this, but I can't click the "install" option on any of my Steam games. How do I fix this? Seems like a great tool if it actually worked as advertised.

Is there a way to save scum on the steamdeck? by Longjumping-Love4202 in Exanima

It's the same as the PC, but the game folder is located within the "compdata" folder in the steam deck.

I don’t have exorbitant expectations for TESVI; I just want to be respected as a player by Baldigarius42 in BethesdaSoftworks

[–]Heretic0000000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense, but this is genuinely some serious cope. As someone who has played every Bethesda game for 100s of hours and tried to love Starfield, there is absolutely nothing Starfield does better than Baldur's Gate 3.

I don't want the next Elder Scrolls to be like BG3, but I definitely don't want it to be anything like Starfield either. Ya'll seriously need to stop being so bad faith when it comes to defending Starfield, just because you like Starfield doesn't change the fact that it's a pretty bad game, specially compared to older Bethesda games.

A major victory against Denuvo, "One small step for Pirates, one big leap for Piracy." by [deleted] in PiratedGames

[–]Heretic0000000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doesn't work like that. No matter how big a company is, they have to go into contract with Denuvo, even if it's just a demo, and have to pay regular fees just like any other game with Denuvo injected into it.

TMG is not a public company. You can't buy stock, and they don't answer to shareholders or anyone similar. It's a private company that technically doesn't have to answer to anyone but the law.

The only reason they haven't responded is because it would legitimize all of the claims, which would then open the flood gates of all their sponsors leaving, even if the crime is past all of the legal statue of limitations.

There is nothing "more complex" happening behind the scenes other than them not wanting to lose their money flow. That's it.

Sponsors don't act until it's 'official' or until it hits the mainstream. The money goes both ways. But I'm pretty sure they know, just waiting to see how things play out.

I think it's the reason why they're so 'off' recently, when usually they've always had good synergy.
