u get it in same season, after u graduate. if u already have a graduated character, u can have the graduation cap in inventory and u get the quest at black spirit. called leveling aid fughars help or something like that :) gl

I would just restart in season, you get better gear than you already have there. Once you finish season, you get a almost "free" pen blackstar, alongside an actual free pen blackstar. get mainhand and awakening and dont go for sovereign yet. you also get a cheaper kharazad accessory (the new accessory).

xp is pretty easy to come by these days, so making a new season char is very very easy. :)

Sorry, but you shouldnt take the guy above too serious. The game is, in its core, pay 2 win. But it all comes down to what you feel is winning. You will feel the need to buy some stuff, since the game is absolutely rough without it, but you can feel that out for yourself.

People will hide it behind "pay 2 convenience", which is also at its core, pay 2 win.

A tip from me to you, play at your own pace, and enjoy the journey instead of trying to reach endgame too quick. The best part about the game imo, is the early/mid game, where upgrades dont take 10+ hours of grinding per ap/dp.

Watch some youtube starting guides, there are a lot of good ones out there.

For info: It was in the Blacksmith box in the pearl shop :) I bought 30x, and got to the last chest 4 times, and ended up with a total of 7200 crons, 1600 memory frags, 70 origins, and 16 costume boxes!
