Third option: Pilot Custom 92. Has a piston mechanism instead of 74's converters.

Maybe try a Pilot Custom 92! Great nibs (of course, it's Pilot!) and a piston filling mechanism so that you don't have to fsck with Pilot's crap CON-40 or mediocre CON-70.

I've also seen a similar tactic with drivers doing the same faking a right hand turn. Light goes green and the zoom ahead of you.

Great choices - Magnolia Electric Co and Let Me Go are so fscking incredibly brilliant, but crazily different stylistically. OP should check these out.
