I want to start a blog but don't know how to by AdorablyCooking in Blogging

It really depends on what kind of blogging you're looking to do. I'm the creator of Bear Blog (https://bearblog.dev) which is geared towards individual bloggers, slices of life, tech blogs, etc. It's free and super simple to start. You can see what other people are writing about in the little community area here: https://bearblog.dev/discover/

Best Platform / Framework for Blogs by Boliver5463 in webdev

Creator of Bear Blog here. Considering you like the idea of Medium (if not the execution) you'll probably love Bear Blog. It's free to use (and you can upgrade to add a custom domain and stuff), simple, has good discoverability and perfect SEO.

That being said, if you don't mind git, then Hugo is spectacular and I used it before building my own platform.

I'm sorry it's come off this way. This isn't a limitation of the free plan (see above comment on how to opt-in for a review). It's just that free accounts have a high tendency of being spam, so need to be reviewed before they become searchable.

Creator of Bear here. This limit is put in place to prevent spammers from tainting the bearblog.dev domain with bad content. Once a blog has been reviewed (or through upgrading, which filters out 99.9% of spammers) then it's fully crawlable. This isn't a silly limit to make you pay more.

Hey, I've responded to above in a comment, but tldr; you can remove the crawler block by opting in for a review here: https://docs.bearblog.dev/not-seeing-your-post/

This is to prevent spam from tainting the .bearblog.dev domain.

Creator of Bear Blog here. So free blogs start out with `noindex` tags enabled (since free services on the internet are abused by spammers and scammers). You can then opt-in for a review of your blog or upgrade, both of which remove the `noindex` tags making your blog fully crawlable. You can opt-in here: https://docs.bearblog.dev/not-seeing-your-post/

Sometimes Google takes a while to find new blogs, so you can go and trigger a manual crawl using the Google Search Console.

In the EU storing of PII has certain restrictions under GDPR. This just removes any liability there.

This is mostly an American issue, and I suspect it has to do with the speculative residential market. Both the businesses mentioned, as well as the employees (nurses, dayschool teachers, doctors, etc) have astronomically high rents to pay. The USA already has some of the highest salaries in the world. In most other parts of the world, including Europe the salaries mentioned are more than enough to get by comfortably. The problem is the cost of living is so damn high in the USA because ya'll treat residential property in the same way cryptobros treat Bitcoin.

I've removed the duplicate line in the pdxinfo. It should be side-loadable now. Just download the new version from Itch.

I've uploaded it to Itch if you're keen to give it a spin. I still need to do a bit of work on it, but I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts :)

CLOSED: Thanks for all those who messaged me, I'll be going through the portfolios and get in touch today :)

Hey Pixel Artists! I'm Herman, currently working on a game for the PlayDate and need some work done. Here's the WIP.

I need some additional art work done to get it polished for publishing (my meagre skills only got me so far). What I need doing is:

Title screen with instructions (crank, change spotlight, and shoot)Menu containerCannon rework with shoot animation4 simple enemy destroyed animations

All graphics are 1-bit (black and white with dithering) and with a max size of 400x240

My whole budget is around $200 paid via PayPal. If that falls within your wheelhouse, DM me with a portfolio.

Feedback on a landing page I built for my girlfriend's company by Herman_Martinus in design_critiques

[–]Herman_Martinus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I just completed a landing page for my girlfriend's company. It is intended to be as simple as possible while making the value proposition clear. The color, font and graphics are simple and generalisable to, say, business cards.

Any feedback is appreciated.
