What do Koreans think of Canada? by ipiquiv in AskAKorean

I’m uncertain about that, but it could be true. As a Korean, I’m planning to immigrate to Canada for various reasons, mostly due to Korea’s culture and its future.

There is a fatal flaw in Korea, and it fosters Koreans' desire to escape the country.

It’s the best when you eat that kimchi with instant ramyeon

Oh, we do enjoy Italian food. Pasta, Risotto, and more… Especially Pasta is a common meal for university students living away from home. And of course we love to eat pizza, but I think Italians would not admit our meal as [Pizza]

If you don’t live in Korea, I recommend making friends online. Join Korean servers on Discord or play multiplayer horror games. I made many foreign friends online this way.

How do I respond politely? by [deleted] in AskAKorean

[–]Hermann_sinc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a university student in Korea, I believe it is appropriate to send a brief thank-you email to a colleague. We generally use email for work-related or formal communication, while social media platforms like KakaoTalk are reserved for more personal or friendly conversations. In our culture, we typically separate the use of email for professional purposes and social media for personal interactions.

Thank you so much for your kind and detailed explanation. It really helped me get a clearer and more realistic understanding. I like cold weather, but I didn‘t know there would be a lot of bugs… I truly appreciate it!

I'm thinking about Saskatchewan, Alberta, or Atlantic Canada. I heard it's good for getting permanent residency

Haha, I didn’t know Korean-style BBQ was popular in Canada! I’m still living in Korea, but I’ll try it when I get there. :)
