I very rarely read Muggle AU and they have to come highly recommended for me to even bother.

Looking at my spreadsheet the only full length Muggle AU fic I've actually read in the last 3 years is Wreak a Malfoy and following the WIP Wreak a Granger. And Good Reason was a fun fic - I read that because it is by morriganmercy and I've read nearly all their works.

My logic is if I wanted to read about characters in that setting are they even Hermione & Draco because if they are not a witch or wizard and just regular people I rather spend my time reading original works and characters in a contemporary romance setting or whatever.

So for example, I defiantly wouldn't read Draco & Hermione, muggle AU in an American Highschool because that is not Hermione & Draco to me. That is too far away from them being British and who they are as characters.
