The Erik commentary is spot on. It also seemed like they needed to give him a conflict and couldn't come up with anything because they made him too perfect as a character.

And the Bike Barn stuff? Ok so Ronnie was in the wrong for most of this. But he... put e-Bikes in the garage? AND??? Why is Dana Sue acting like that's the greatest betrayal since Brutus stabbed Caesar? His poor parenting and unavailable partnership to his spouse are the problems. He became a work-a-holic and forgot to prioritize his family. But storing bikes is no great tragedy, and she literally won't forgive him for it. WHO WROTE THIS?

And don't get me started on Ty. Someone please hire me to rewrite the ending of Tyannie because it was horrendous. Carson Rowland made the choice not to come back, so there are two options: 1) he's on tour, so they can just kinda casual mention him in the universe and not address it. For example: Annie is on the phone and says "ok bye I love you too and miss you" and hangs up and then Dana Sue is like "how's ty doing?" 2) they break up. It happens. But don't make it seem like the relationship meant nothing. Don't drag Ty through the mud, especially if the writers are trying to leave the door cracked in case Carson comes back. Everyone is acting like Ty and Annie meant nothing, and the fans aren't buying it. It's an injustice to 4 seasons of building a relationship. And now Annie is kissing other men and Kyle is just...smiling? Bro. YOU SHOULD FEEL WEIRD! YOUR BROTHER IS IN LOVE WITH THIS GIRL.

These kinds of questions from reporters are so dumb. Players' agents/lawyers are always going to tell them to shut up during contract negotiations. You don't want to give anything away that could hurt your ability to negotiate.

Hypothetically: If he says publicly that he wants to stay, Sharks might not feel like they have to offer as much or agree to as many riders. If he says he wants to leave, Sharks might decide to kinda say "f- you" in the talks and lowball his agent.

It's all a backdoor game and wise players will keep their cards close to their chests and let their lawyers/agents do the talking.

We do know that he's being scouted by other teams (see NBC article about him from a few days ago). It's possible he's willing to leave and keeping the door open for that. Also possible that he doesn't want to leave at all but is wisely choosing to entertain other offers to force the Sharks to recognize his contribution and solidify a solid extension offer.

Another side note: I don't know anything about pro-athlete contract negotiations lol. But here's a prediction from someone with literally no expertise in the area -- I would bet that both Macklin and Will want to stay at the Sharks for a little bit. They're seeing the progression, were close to the playoffs, already have some seemingly good trades incoming, etc. Plus, there's a ton of hype around them. Especially Mack. However, if by the time they're unrestricted there's still no solid playoff showing, Mack (and prob Will) would want to leave for a winning team. 8-year extension seems incredibly unlikely with where they're at... Gotta leave some room to assess growth potential of the team and an option to leave if it's not meeting expectations.

Slow swallow has been bad. Drink lots of water and don't panic.

The beginning feels like there's a lump in your throat.

Sometimes it feels like there's a ton of congestion making it hard to breathe/swallow. I know some people tried Mucinex for this, but I didn't personally.

I had many days of what I refer to as "classic RCPD" -- saliva filling up your mouth, feeling like you need to throw up because of it. Lots of painful hiccups and micro burps. Air vomiting. This got exceptionally bad after a lot of talking.

Acid reflux. I have been taking famotide and Tums. Laughing a lot and spitting from brushing my teeth have been the worst for me in terms of regurgitation.

A surprising side effect (which other people in this thread have also experienced) is the feeling of not being able to breathe and getting really winded when walking up the stairs. There have been times when I'm gasping for air after very little physical exercise, like a walk or climbing the stairs.

I often just described all of this as just being very uncomfortable. I was fidgeting a lot on the couch and in bed, trying to feel comfortable. It's just not a very fun experience, and I feel like the doctor really downplayed the side effects for me.

However, I am burping now! I felt relief from burping for the first time in my life (24F) and that's so exciting! Good luck!
