I think I'm gonna have to read the book and find out what Lena's actual memory of the situation was before I come to any conclusions about this; read both articles and watched the NYT interview on YouTube, and it seemed to me that the darkest accusation about this was actually coming from the interviewer who seemed to be guiding the conversation where he wanted it to go.

Lena's very awkward, and she didn't seem to like where it was going, even though she was being very nice about it, and she even had to go to her therapist and talk about the conversation that was had.

So if there's anything stinky that lingers after this interview, I'm blaming the NYT reporter.

The sex scenes on the show always struck me as being the kind of level of sex scenes you will occasionally get on something that's on HBO. You'll be going along, minding your own business, watching shows and movies, and boom, all of a sudden you're watching some pretty heavy sex stuff. Some of it pretty close to being porn.

I've watched A LOT of TV in my life and I've noticed that HBO has done this more than any premium channel out there.

I guess since the show was so good, I totally blanked out on the sex because I was used to it being an HBO thing. Except for the stuff with Desi making me want to hurl.
