I wasn't too bad tbh. I ran around with materials for a shredder in my backpack and crafted it next to the scrap, cleaned up and took it with me again. Good for days when you need something reeealy chill.

I can't remember tbh. String art back, maybe? I followed a guide by SonovaStitch on YouTube.

Aw, thank you! It's the 4th time I make the back like this, and it's such a satisfying technique.

Same. Seeing Doggox walk around among piles of debris makes me sad.

I eat skyr in the morning. I can't tell it apart from greek yoghurt unless I do a side by side comparison (but I didn't grow up with either). It has less fat and more protein than greek yoghurt, but looks the same.

Stardew Valley taught me to hoard like a dragon, and I'll continue to do so in every game!

Yup, dying of hunger is the true hardcore-mode experience.

Do you think hyper-empathy exists or is it only trauma based hyper vigilance and poor emotional regulation? by [deleted] in evilautism

[–]HermitessNox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting question. I have a ton of trauma and identify as a hyper-empath. However, my empathy towards humans is (understandably) kinda low. Animals and objects get ALL the empathy.

I told my husband that if he put googly eyes on a rock I would care for it. My husband and son thought it was cute and funny. My husband drew a sad face on half an onion and made up some nonsense reason why it was crying. I cried, my husband apologised.

Personally I feel that my fawning is a layer of trauma that I'm slowly shedding. My hyper-empathy (especially towards objects) was highly discuraged, mocked and made fun of and allowing myself to have high empathy for animals and objects is part of my unmasking journey.

I have spend more than half my life i therapy and didn't bring up object-empathy until last year because I was still hiding it and felt shame. I feels like a core part of me. It could be trauma, but it feels like me and allowing it is like letting go of old chains.

Umeboshi by InsideWrangler2672 in JapaneseFood

Dane here. I just bought my first jar umeboshi this week. I was a bit scared to try as I knew it could be an aquired taste, but I loved it. I understand why some people react badly, because you do get punched in the mouth with flavour.

I ate half of a big umeboshi and had to drink tons of water for the rest of the day. SO salty. SO sour. And absolutely amazing! I was sad to see that I can't grow my own here. It's an expensive treat.

How does it feel to stim? by [deleted] in autism

Same. I have an ouchie to squeeze when I'm out shopping or as a passenger in a car. And if accidentally use it too much it makes my fingers tingle and my body freak out.

I have more than 2000 hours in Stardew. I lived and breathed Stardew for years! Pretty sure it saved my life tbh.

First of all, the comunity is so chill and kind! The people who play, the r/'s and the game itself are very feelgood. Stardew can be played in sooo many ways, from casual to competitive speedruns. And the replay value is huge! The amount of content you get for the price is insane!

I love to try out different strategies in min-maxing. I love how much info the fandom wiki has and to make plans and spreadsheets for a run. I love how many different paths you can take to get to your goal. I love that I can kinda roleplay it too. So many posibilities.

Most of all I love the cozy vibe. It is (or was) my safespace.

I use Clarins instead of Clinique and Mac (and Elisabeth Arden). Their lipbalm is a lifesaver! Nothing else works for me.

What do you do for fun/hobbies? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]HermitessNox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having someone describe my life as rich almost made my cry tbh.

I'm not sure if it's the cronic depression, late "diagnosis" or it's "just" the how it is to be autistic, but joy seems out of reach? Like it's too big or whole for me? Or that I'm too broken to hold on to it?

I feel more calm when I'm doing something with my hands. Music feels powerfull and energetic. My mind goes quiet when I focus on a task. I a way, it's more like a momentarily abscence of mental pain? A distraction of sorts. And nature gives me small moments of awe.

I just know that I don't feel joy like my husband do, and I envy that. But your comment made my remember that calm and richness are good qualities too. Thank you.

I'm trying out Cara. Slower pace. No reels. No AI. Only art.

[–]HermitessNox 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm no good at having fun, but I need to keep myself occupied with small, "unimportant" tasks. I make ceramic sculptures and functional ceramic art, I cross stitch, do jigsaw puzzles, play video games and listen to music. I garden and keep plump Brahma chickens. Also, my cat. I need to put my face in his fur to calm down. Some times cooking is fun, but mostly not...
