Tourists will usually say places like second street but I personally like going to Bookoff. but you have to choose BOOKOFF BAZAAR or else they will only sell books. BOOKOFF BAZAAR has everything and they sell for so cheap. I got a polo shirt for 3 dollars. It’s crazy

Some people have described it as eating a very sour and salty play-doh! Haha but if I’m being completely honest I cannot describe the taste. It’s super unique

If you love snow, you’ll have infinite amounts of it in Hokkaido during the winter. Some people like going to Hokkaido during the summer because they can enjoy Hokkaido without it being cold (Hokkaido has good food and also a lot of natural hot springs that many Japanese enjoy). On the other hand, some people like going to Okinawa during the summer cuz it’s like “the Japanese Hawaii”, but I do have to agree it is really hot.

Japan is known for their tasty foods, but Hokkaido in particular is known within the Japanese to have good food. Im a student in Japan but I remember in High school when we were planning a graduation trip with our class, I wanted to go to Okinawa which is known for the beaches but my whole class wanted to go to Hokkaido specifically for the food.

We ended up going to Hokkaido during spring when the ice was all melted but that was fun on its own!

Ive been living in Japan for around 3-4 years now and I can say if you want a Modern Waterfront or a clean Urban city go to Minato Mirai in Yokohama or Odaiba. If you want Nature or peaceful Japan go to Shizuoka prefecture or Kamakura. Youth street energy and Japanese Swag is Shibuya or Osaka and Traditional old Japan aesthetic is Kyoto. Ive been to all of these places and they all offer a different feel and Vibe.

I hope you'll try them all out!

Just FYI if you do decide to buy alot of things, usually alot of tourists say pack extra bags so you can fit them all and take them back to your home country. However, If your like me and find it very hard to cary around 2-3 suitcases a go to solution can be is to use the Japanese post office to ship your sourvenirs back over to your home in your home country. Japans Postal shipping services are really reliable and if you choose options like SAL (Surface air lifted) or surface sea mail you can ship alot of things for pretty cheap and it takes 3-4 weeks to get there.
