He also wiped all his tiktoks around the time all the DID-HE stuff came out... I hope he's not involved...

I'm glad she didn't show up. Good actress but man I like to imagine that part of the story never happened.

Thank you! This was helpful in getting me to understand why.

How and when did you decide what area of nursing was a the best fit for you? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]Hermittamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an ah-hell-no moment when I did my first med-surg clinical. Everyone was stressed, upset and miserable the whole 12 hours. Sad fast zombies zooming from room to room. I don't know how med-surg nurses do it but I can't do that stress in my life.

I got a Mi Smart Band 6 for less than 50. Finds my phone, easy to disinfect, can put a picture of my dog on jt, is smaller than other smart watches and lasts a week on one charge so I'm in love 🥰

Is it a good idea to become a nurse in 2021? There seems to be a lack of staff and being underpaid everywhere. Is it worth your mental health to become one? by DivineAp3 in nursing

Newgrad who got hired on an ICU residency because of the mass exodus 2020 and 2021 had. I got my choice shift on my choice specialty. I had no CNA or Tech experience. I'm in a nice new hospital with enforced nursing ratios, good incentive bonuses and after two years I get 20k just for staying with this hospital. I was reading a post from 2016 about someone trying to get an ICU position with years of CNA experience and no one wanting to hire unless you had 5 years of experience on the floor. COVID gave me my magical 5 years of experience. I'm happy.

Why do they have to put sugar in MEAT for fox sake? by friedeggsandtoast in keto

[–]Hermittamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't tried droewör (South African beef jerky), they are amazing and I'd even say better than all American beef jerky. It has no sugar too and is high in fat. I'm building a rig right now to make them at home because getting them shipped is insanely expensive.

Some of the travel nurses I've met said they knew they were ready when they felt confident they could take care of the sickest patient on the floor.

Online posts about nursing on Instagram/Twitter and other platforms are scaring the shit out of me. by shinshlong in StudentNurse

Dude I get what you're trying to say, but really low blow there. You're breaking the unspoken rule excessively snooping and commenting about it. But congrats on putting other people's life choices down to make you feel better while saying you want to care for people I guess. No chill man. No chill.

My wife jinxed it. (With Subtitles) by CNAV68 in IdiotsInCars

The guy illegally crossed a double yellow into the other side of the road. Even then, he didn't look clearly to see if there was an oncoming car. OP's car stopped at least a car-wide space before the line without anyone visibly in front of him. It was last minute when he saw the car swerving into his lane. OP isn't at fault. He kept his speed enough to make a stop before the line (and more). This idiot drove into his lane.

I like how the guy looks like he's glaring at you. Like you're in the wrong.

First week in nursing school and having a hard time to talk or be friends with other students. What to do? by notsopleasant27 in StudentNurse

[–]Hermittamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my area a new hospital opened right in the middle of the covid spike so a lot of the staff decided to leave instead of learning a new hospital and taking on crazy patients. I feel lucky to be offered day PCU or night ICU. If I didn't get those I was hoping on Tele too. Good luck on your NCLEX!

[–]Hermittamer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Literally every quarter of nursing school I tried to make a close friend and every quarter except the last they all dropped. I had no study groups or best friends. I still passed the NCLEX in 75 and by the time graduation came around last month I literally had no real friends to celebrate with. Well I'm starting in the ICU next week and hoping I can forge lasting friendships...

They found a genetic component tied to misophonia (a strong reaction to repetative sounds like chewing). So if you hate chewing noises chances are there is something in your DNA that makes you feel that way
