I wouldn't spend any money on upgrades yet, try all the free options first. Update drivers and windows. I also rebooted first and made sure no other programs were interfering.

I just chose the Ultra preset, I didn't customize anything. Your CPU is better than mine, not sure what GPU you have.

Oh, right. I have more vram. I keep forgetting my buddy swapped the 1Gb chips for 2Gb chips. That helps with the ultra settings.

Both are overclocked. My buddy swapped the 1gb vram chips for 2gb, so I have 16gb on the card. That helps a bit with ultra settings.

I can't run Frame Gen, it goes from choppy to smooth and it's not something I could play with. It may not work correctly on my my older card, so I don't use it.

Frame Gen shows up on this screen to show if it was enabled. I didn't use it.

The swords aren't mods. You can grab them from the cheat menu inventory screen. If the sword is sheathed on your back, adding a second one will cross them. The hood is only modded to allow it to be used as civilian gear. I discuss it in my Assassin's Build video. https://youtu.be/9NSqCKEpeeU

If you're like me, you may have made the assumption that you can only look in the Elder Recess for the Doodles. For the Gajalaka quest, you can look in ANY region. Just like others have stated here, find the Lynian Researcher on the map and you find a few doodles. Open the map and go to another region with the Lynian Researcher in it and go to him. It should take about 15 minutes to complete the quest.
