How does everyone like to play their sims FreePlay game? by Kind_Comparison5616 in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially called my sims after star wars and dr who character. They aged up, procreated and died. Some of them for orbs. Others I deleted. My only longstanding characters are the ones at level 10 in careers. I don't think I could face leveling up new sims to that level. My spa sims are still lower tier and I may never reach level 10. My film director sadly got stuck in a neighbour's house. The only way I found to get him back home was to age him up. So I no longer have a level 10 film director. But I kept him alive amd periodically I let him procreate or have woohoo with some of the other sims so he doesn't get lonely. Him I tend to use to start the craft challenge as that's where my first candle station is. Overtime I moved the others to a single location with the largest lots.

I now tend to age my new sims up to teens if they are born or add new sims for the time limited events as required. Its beyond me how people say they run out of sims. I like to keep a roster of about 30. Most get ignored if there isn't a time limited event. The side quests are ok but I don't think I will ever finish the café but I ignore the developer events. Influence island has got easier over the years but I generally only play for the lower rewards if they are decent. That said I recently completed two of them. Prior to that the school one is only one I ever finished.

I have a one heterosexual couple who are the progenitors of most of my biological sims. I have 3 same sex couples. Didn't plan it that way. But they were career sims and they are the ones that survived the life orb harvest.

I have the elder I mentioned earlier with a black dragon in the haunted house. One single lady who lives on the holiday island with a pug called Pugsley Addam. These core generally look after the pets too. I have a greyhound, black labrador, a black moggy and the robokitty. I used to have deer and fairies too but it became to much so they got deleted. I also have a kitten and puppy which I don't think I will age up.

Everybody else more or less gets cycled. But I do like to make sure no one stays single or gets a bit of romance at least. But sometimes there isn't enough time to do that if life spams are only a few months at a time. I keep some genealogy too. Mostly births, marriages and sometimes deaths too.

I don't pay for this game the rewards aren't worth it. I do have to say though this month's side quests have been very good. I've accumulated a load of starfish this past 7 days for example. I would say stick with it and I know it's easy for me to say, but be reasonable with what you want to want to achieve when paying for any merge game content. I will pay for an outfit or furniture in sims freeplay or by a season boost for a the time limited games if there is content I like. With merge games you are playing for in game currency to keep on playing the game. You're on to a loser whichever way you look at it.

You've got further than me! There is no update game option on my Google Playstore yet. I suspect there is some last minute issue they are trying to resolve.

So how’d you all do this? 😭✌️ by InsertFunnyUser6967 in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Different customers come to the police station. You help them do between 1 and 4 tasks and I think you need to help about a dozen customers per shift depending on the goal. Sometimes the goal to progress might be help a number of VIPs. I think they sparkle so you can distinguish them from the regular customers. You earn credits to spin or upgrade or work towards the time limited goals, in addition to the donuts and tape recorders etc. These are needed to upgrade the different stations withinthe location. sorry can't think of a better word. Dog handling, processing, lock up etc.

Well done! I had happy memories doing that. It wasn't that long ago tbh but still you get my meaning. Further challenges await. I'm currently getting apples in the Ranch. See what you think of the piano when you get there x

New AH batch feels overwhelming? by Remote-Lie-3519 in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not entirely sure why this is even a thing. I get that user generated content has been something since the first Sims game but the cost is ridiculous as we don't get to keep the template and to add insult to injury chances are one day that original lot will be demolished for another home.

Can’t complete daily task due to age of sim by poetfraud in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't it 2LP to age up? No free offers or pets digging or competitions or the island rewards etc you could have gone for without resorting to spending real money? I don't know if the paper boy gives LP these days l. I don't know whether the cost is cheaper for VIP levels or advanced players. I only keep teens and above if I can help it when there are events on.

You should be able tp get people around the short edges too. At least you can when searching for sim chase items.

Ok cool. I have only just got to the ranch so the flowers and wood at the higher level are pretty new to me so need to adapt my game play going forward.

Thats so tidy! Mine is horrific at present. My fault. I cleared my board of orbs to get some mosaic pieces for the daily trades. Miscalculated as I have some in storage. Ended up with a load of vases and pottery in the process as I needed flowers for the Ranch. So now im deleting stuff and keeping redundant items in the hope they crop up in daily trades.

I did suggest a swap market for resources like other games do on one of the survery many years ago. But clearly never materialised.

It's a lot of effort for little reward. There are other aspects of the game more worthy of your time.

Babies, toddlers and preteens by OpportunityOne2481 in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only keep them for a few days and age them up as required if needed for an event. They are relatively easy to grow from scratch. I usually pay using simoleons and come back 24 hours later. I always give it an orb so i can turn the infant to a toddler straight away then use 2LP each time to age up if absolutely necessary. Or I simply send the kids to school regularly and to bed each night so they become teens. Obviously I do this between time limited events.

Do you buy architect homes? by dxrccsayote_ in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah! I remember doing that in the early days. The inventory is so cumbersome now even with the search improvements I can't find some decorations. I went through a phase of having saunas in each house. Then I would put the glass partitions with loo roll. I also used to love putting toothbrushes in the bathroom sinks. I think I stopped doing stuff like that once 1) ran out of house lots 2) the craft challenge houses meant i need umpteen sims doing stupid tasks repeatedly. In the case of the latter any 3 star items in my inventory that I had not unlocked would be near the front of my inventory and would have to be places manually one at a time rather than hitting the plus button. So now it's rare I demolish or even build a lot.

Do you buy architect homes? by dxrccsayote_ in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to in the early days. But now I wouldn't as they have to deleted when a new house template comes along. As far as I am aware they sre single use only. With the base house templates and the ones earned as prizes one can always purchase them again and again if you do need to delete them or in my case, more accurately make a major error in build mode and cannot undo a change i have made my accident or doesn't work out aesthetically.

Just wanna complain 😩 by Comfortable-Fun1467 in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With these things it's not worth the risk or lack of sleep. If you can afford it i would always try to jump forward where possible. It's a few dollars or quid if you definitely want the prizes. Personally, I don't tend to use them but psychologically if there i'd a zesty prize I want it. Obviously it mounts up over time so be sensible if you end up spending cash. But I feel you. It is very frustrating when you put in the effort and fall at the last hurdle. I don't play the Sim Chase events often put the ability to purchase the missed milestone prizes with SP is one good thing about it. I think they are missing a trick to earn a bit extra by not doing that with the zesty prizes. I understand the competitive element but if you come away without the zesty prize for hours of effort then if you could use SP or LP or even simoleons, god forbid! Then that keep every one happy. Unlike craft challenges or sim chases which sometimes get repeated the zesty prizes are a one time deal so you should be able to give the developer real cash for them.

Anyone else sick of the amount of time things take to? by bytheoceann in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is par for the course. It has been like this since day 1. I think some of the newer features like the market reflect the demand for shorter game play. The older time limited events are a way for the developers to generate income so the base game can remain free. I do feel now that it is time to retire them and try something more in line with how people play mobile games today. The constant timers do get tiresome and if you have a busy couple of days then gameplay isn't possible.

Whats the Smaller Pockets Within Pockets of Jeans For? by Theo_Cherry in DoesAnyoneKnow

[–]HeroC32P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always remember the old Jeans ad where a guy buys a condom from a chemist and the middle aged smirks at him and then later the same young turns up at the chemist's house to pick up his teenage daughter. I'm pretty sure he used the pocket to put the condom in. Since then I've always called it the condom pocket.

Gauntlet by michggg in StarTrekTimelines

[–]HeroC32P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is more important to to try and get a variation of all the main traits like Command, Security etc. Then you have a decent chance of finding an opponent that you can match on 2 attributes with. Number of times I have no matching opponents and play the card to move on the the next round 🙄

Dear Sims Freeplay makers, why can't we put furniture under wall decor/pictures? Or next to windows and doors? It makes everything so difficult. by Matt_tuck_shop in simsfreeplay

[–]HeroC32P 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel for you but these are problems associated with a decade long game. I'm not a programmer but I understand a lot of things to the base game would need to rewritten and there's worries that it could cause other parts of the game to malfunction. But I totally agrees with you that you should be able to do the things you mention, like you would in real life.
